Absolutely! I really hope they figure out a design that allows them drive in extreme wet contlditions.
Agreed. I bet this version is probably a prototype to see if theyโre even remotely in the ballpark of containing spray. If it does work well then they can improve the form.
It won't work because most spray comes from the diffusor
Nice static surface for sponsors, imagine the Ferraris running with 4 HP logos for wheels

My American Truck Simulator and F1 games are slowly blending together
I was under the impression that the floor/diffuser throws up as much, or more, water than the tires, so while reducing spray from the wheels would certainly help there would still be a small tsunami behind the cars on a very wet track, no?
I did a little reading and yes the defusers do bring up a lot of water. They just don't know how much compared to the tires. Or at least they are not saying.
Oh just go closed-wheel and closed-cockpit already, you know it's going there, for safety and astrodynamic.
Not sure how to keep the same suspension system tho, maybe with slightly movable well arches?
Or just make it worse (limit it) to make the cornering more "fun" ...
