Trump has a problem following reports about Robinson’s comments identifying as a “black NAZI” and supporting slavery
North Carolina Republicans: "I'm sorry, whats the problem again?"
Too blatant. He said the quiet part loud and the loud part quiet.
Yeah. Only Trump can do that!
The only thing MAGAs might dislike about him is that he is black.
Yes, but he also gives them an excuse, "See, even decent black people know we're right!"
If he's got an R next to his name, they'll vote for him.
I think this dude is actually going to make some Republicans not turn out.
His statements actually are still shocking, even after a decade of Trump.
Republicans have performed poorly in the NC gubernatorial race over the last 30+ years, winning once.
Council of State and elections to the legislature have been successful for them, though
Yup! Stein (Robinson's opponent) has been polling with landslide numbers for weeks.
Meanwhile, R supermajority in the NC legislature is overriding governor Cooper's vetoes with some regularity.
That's like asking conservatives to place facts and logic ahead of rethoric and idol worship. Good luck with that.
You are not going to easily convert a hardcore Republican, but a lot of undecided voters do not follow politics closely. Having the Republican describing himself as a Nazi is about as clear as it can get, which will convice a lot of them to vote blue. It is also a good way of bringing people who would vote Democrat to actually vote.

Lol no. If anything this will get them more votes.
revelations are quite fitting for the R badge, so nothing changes there
He was already polling poorly and while it's basically tied in the polling, it's 47-47 and Trump won the state by a point in 2020 so the undecideds probably lean his way.
I tend to think a scandal of some other person can't hurt a presidential campaign that much, mostly just enthusiasm. So no, I don't think it will tank the Trump Campaign.
Gut says it moves from toss-up leaning Trump to true 50/50 toss-up.
