Summary

Trump has reiterated his proposal for Palestinians in Gaza to relocate to Egypt or Jordan, framing it as a solution for safety and reconstruction.

The suggestion has been widely rejected by Palestinian leaders, Egypt, Jordan, the UN, and regional allies, who view it as undermining the two-state solution.

The remarks coincide with severe humanitarian crises in Gaza following 15 months of war.

Critics speculate Trump’s statements are aimed at supporting Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s far-right coalition amid political instability in Israel.

So the question is, do those who didn't vote democrat due to their Gaza stance feel better now?

You do realize that Biden wasn't much better, right? I am not an American, but pretty much with your duopoly voting system and the level of AIPAC influence over your politicians there isn't much of a choice.

Oh and for the record, I think Trump is worse than him in a lot of areas, but Biden wasn't great either.

... right, so the Gazans are basically where they were before (along with all the other Palestinians in the area, as well as all ajoining countries) but also we're in a worse place domestically.

So. Let's ask again, those who didn't vote Democrat due to their Gaza stance... do you feel better now? Your lives are almost assuredly worse, but at least you didn't directly vote for someone who allowed genocide to happen.

Our duopoly is due to First Past the Post voting. Ranked or Alternative voting would be better, but will take a while to implement due to First Past the Post voting.

I voted blue conservative, but it will be my last time ever. Fuck the democrats forever.

The United States of America is more important then the Democratic Party.

The point wasn't all about the fact that trump will be pro palestine. Rather it was to punish the democrats who pretend to be for justice.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 4 months ago (2 children)

Well they fucked around, now we're finding out.

Like stabbing yourself in the stomach to spite your face. It makes no fucking sense at all, but a metric fuck ton of people decided it was the best thing to do to "prove a point".

Meanwhile the democrats who are stupposed to be "punished" might be mildly inconveniences while everyone else is going to end up suffering immensely.

When it comes to the palestine issue, no not really. Biden gave weapons to the genocide and let them loose with no restrictions. This is according to the israelis themselves that they barley heard anything from the Biden administration. Meaning, Biden would go on TV and talk big but do jack.

And of course Trump is sooooo much better.

Of course, Biden also never outlawed non-binary and trans people. Biden never pardoned over a thousand insurrectionists. Biden never canceled funding for thousands of programs and initiatives. Biden never threatened to annex allies.

But sure. We're teaching those mean old democrats a lesson. A lesson they've been learning for decades. That the fanatics on left, much like those on the right, talk big but do fuck-all to make things better.

But hey, at least the fanatics on the right show up. Which is why we're in the situation we are. So sit on your high horse, so you can watch the rest of burn before you conflagrate yourself.

Yeah well, I never said Trump is better now did I? Sure, maybe Biden left trans rights but he deported more than trump did, he pardoned criminals including his son for political favors, and crushed strikes by workers.

And of course, worst of all, committed genocide.

There is no "biden is better than trump" gtfo with that. What more do you want than genocide? What about all the abuse of women and children in their prisons. Of course the israelis don't discriminate and rape the men too.

It is what the opposite of a political genius would have done

for Egypt and Jordan

But not, notably, the US. It's fine to tell people to seek refuge in other countries, as long as it's not your problem.

[–] [email protected] 21 points 4 months ago

The time-honored US tradition of writing new chapters of genocide of Palestinians through the new president, regardless of party. Forced evacuation is ethnic cleansing. Ethnic cleansing is a fancy word for genocide.

Trump can go and fuck himself.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 4 months ago

And what if Egypt and Jordan just sends them all back to Gaza on military planes?
