Has he gotten robot legs yet?

Hey Elon, how much do clothes cost in The Matrix?

Edit: I feel bad for anybody who doesn't get the references. It's from Grandma's Boy. Peak stoner comedy film. Very quotable...up there with "Your Highness" as my favorite stoner-comedies. Highly recommended.

How can he see me!?

"Hey look! It's Bono's little brother!"

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 month ago

Screw you turd-nuggets!

Every time someone buys a Tesla, they're voting for this guy.

I'mma be real though, the phase where he pretended to be progressive would have been better than the current nonsense. Most of the shit he does is disingenuous but a tech bro trying to impress cute leftists is far better for America than a tech bro trying to impress Nazis.

Counterpoint: 77 million people did. He was not hidden. He was with trump on stage, doing the awkward jumps and all. It was obvious he would have the power.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 4 weeks ago (1 children)

That's more than dishonest. Elon was and advisor to trump during his first term. No one could have accurately prediction elon would be puppeteer.

Millions did. I did. It was obvious. Check my comment history, or any thread about politics between September and the election.

It doesn't fucking matter, conservatives never take any one side on any single issue. 1 million of you say it's one way then another million say it's another. Ask. Fucking. Anyone (i did). Then trump says its all ways, and a week later says its none.

Trumps famous saying:

"I take responsibility for nothing"

The most honest things he says are right out in front to spite you. He says pinning him to project 2025 was unfair. He means politically unfair. He means it was unfair he had to defend his evil plan in daylight.

I'll sit here and wait and I'll gaurentee someone will come back with some hard-core hard line conservative talking point. Here on the "super lefty platform."

90s goth culture has a lot to answer for

"Hey JP, how much do clothes cost in the Matrix?"

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 month ago

It's true, but many people would have.

Can people not comprehend corruption?

People from the USA voted for a corrupt candidate and are now surprised they are corrupt

After checking the definition for corrupt, i realized i had been using the word wrong for my entire life. By corrupt, i meant accepting bribes

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 month ago

Imagery is everything in the US. I know people who claim to hate socialism despite living off of a monthly Social Security check. They claim to hate communism but can't tell me what they think the word means, same goes for capitalism. The folks that tell you they don't trust the media will repeat word for word what the guy on television/podcast told them without bothering to verify it's accuracy.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Americans, yeah. You did. Now go do something about it or shut the fuck up.

Genuine question, what's the irony here ?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (1 children)

To invest energy on such a comment, defending oneself. But to complain about an outcome that could be resolved if the same energy were spent on it .

It is to be so mad that all one can focus on is punching themself in the face to get out the frustration, rather than actually taking responsibility and moving forward

Best part is, no one likes being told the mess they're in was out of their control. And so here it is. .A true gif that'll get downvoted, getting truer and truer with each apathetic thumb press.

Edit: Other western nations have their issues, but the public is still a strong force. They act. They're feared by politicians and billionaires. And that's why we don't get butt fucked

Do something.

There's more of you than the grumbles on Lemmy that aren't gonna do shit. It'll just get worse because you ironically wasted your energy here. You had the right idea, but the execution is so bad it hurts you and gets worse

[–] [email protected] 2 points 4 weeks ago

The examples fit irony i suppose but that's a very broad assumption of nationality for it to apply to the comment you are replying to.

There could be people who are not American who also disagree with your approach.

Regardless, question answered, thank you.

I listened to an ok counter-argument the other day. Elon Musk was front and center with Trump before the elections, so nobody should've been confused that they will be voting for him as well. Presidential consulants and assistants (all of which are also "unelected") don't tend to be that visible.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 4 weeks ago

Conservatives are claiming they did. So, they are saying they would like to have not just one but two billionaires run the country. The literal definition of oligarchy.

Transgender Elon

I seems the original photo was edited. Instead of "LIB" it was probably "HITL".

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 month ago

No no, Liberty getting smaller and fading away in the background is perfectly on brand

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 month ago

Yeah, a whole lotta nobodies.
