Doesn't OP know that just posting on 4chan makes him gay? Why would he have a problem with it?

[–] [email protected] 26 points 1 week ago (4 children)

Unless OP is a lesbian, I can't imagine straight dudes being offended there is a dude in their porn when straight sex generally requires both a man and a woman.

[–] [email protected] 33 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Eh, offended, definitely not.

However, back when I still made use of porn, a lot of it can be way too focused on the guy. Like, it isn't some horrible thing; I've been in the same room as guys fucking each other, it isn't something that bothers me to see dudes naked in a sexual context. Hell, I used to bathe people and such for a living, so seeing dudes naked at all issue even on my radar.

Until I was trying to watch some lady get boned, and all I'm really seeing is some dude's asshole, or he's making fucking stupid faces while hamming it up and showing off. At that point, it was the fast forward button

I've always wondered who those shots are for lol who's watching straight porn to see an extreme close up of a dudes butthole? There must be a market for it since that shot is in like 35% of all porn videos

Believe it or not, there sre some folks that do. Some women enjoy it, and some gay or bi men enjoy it.

Waaaaay back in the day, back when you could get a chip and a satellite dish and get the spice channel for free, a lot of closeted gay and bi dudes only had access to straight porn. So, they often did have a bit of a wank to those moments.

But nowadays, what with the internet making it easy to find any porn type you like, you'd think that the producers would kinda minimize it when it isn't absolutely necessary for the shot.

I'm an bi. Can confirm I like everyone in my porn.

[–] [email protected] 15 points 1 week ago

He clearly only wants to watch all natural lesbian porn where they perform in complete silence for the duration of the video

I can see how that would be tricky to find lol

[–] [email protected] 10 points 1 week ago

nah he just wants two women without any extra bullshit

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 week ago (1 children)

All it takes is one close-up scene of the dude's yoda-esque ballsack to kill my libido for good.

I'd rather they just use women with a strap-on instead of the man, tbh.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I mean, there's plenty of that out there, if that's what you want.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 week ago

Too few, man. Too few.

Op needs Abby Winters, Erika Lust or Ersties in their life, I reckon.

So, I went ahead and looked up the founder of your little website there... None of his theories were ever backed up by any legitimate science and according to his bio he refused to allow himself to have an orgasm even when he had sex with his wife lol

If anything the link you shared has convinced me even more that pornography is healthy and perfectly normal when used in moderation.

Gary Wilson was mentally ill and all of his theories seem to be centered around a bizarre delusion he had that men should never experience pleasure

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (2 children)

one crazy guy says porn is bad

logic dictates crazy is wrong so what he says is just the opposite of truth

determine porn is good from this god-tier logic

You are living proof that his theory that porn rots your brain is true.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I've always thought that porn was good lol I was just making a point about the very silly website they sent me to.

You guys seem to be rather obsessed about it though, which should be a cause for concern.

It's not good to obsess over anything 😉

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 week ago

They shouldn't have used that "one crazy guy" as an argument that porn is bad then.

any legitimate science

There is literally a big button on the menu called "Research". Clicking it leads to several scientific articles. One of which is:

A Meta‐Analysis of Pornography Consumption and Actual Acts of Sexual Aggression in General Population Studies (2015)

From the abstract:

Consumption [of pornography] was associated with sexual aggression in the United States and internationally, among males and females, and in cross-sectional and longitudinal studies.

Oh, and here is more.

So the science that is referenced is illegitimate, because why, it disagrees with your inverted desires?

Furthermore, in the book, he cites multiple anecdotes from porn consumers. These are valuable in and of themselves.

according to his bio he refused to allow himself to have an orgasm even when he had sex with his wife lol Gary Wilson was mentally ill and all of his theories seem to be centered around a bizarre delusion he had that men should never experience pleasure

See, this is how I know you are disingenuous. Not only did you ignore the plentiful resources that the website I linked to had to offer, but you also went straight to attacking the person (originally) behind the site and straw-manning him.

If anything the link you shared has convinced me even more that pornography is healthy and perfectly normal when used in moderation.

It's a drug. The "use in moderation" argument is going out the window.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 week ago (2 children)

I don't really have an opinion on this but I'm just gonna say that about that association between porn consumption and aggression, it doesn't seem like they've found a casual relationship, just a correlation. Could be that people who are inclined to sexual aggression (or verbal aggression, as they say in the abstract is more strongly associated) are just more likely to consume porn.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

Look, you are right.

It is a red flag though. And as I pointed out to him, there are many anecdotes speaking of porn causing harm. He ignored all the red flags and went with the usual line of "it's perfectly normal in moderation", which I'm arguing is the wrong attitude to have given the issues that many people have from porn (or in proximity to porn).

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 week ago

Blud actually pulled Correlation doesn't imply causation out.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

I don't have the patience right now to analyze the meta-analysis, but many times they're really not conducted properly, and can be heavily biased. Even without the authors seeing it.

Edit: it's even behind a paywall. I'm not using my institution login for that crap.

Things I love in porn: everything greentext op doesn't love in porn, except men, I call them talented dikers.
