One of my first wake-up calls came in the form of under-inflated tires

Then a link to an electric pump

After several frustrating attempts with a manual pump, I gave in and bought a portable electric air compressor.

Yeah, some manual pumps are trash but I'll never use an electric pump because one wrong bump and it's toast. Plus, they're heavy.

CO2 cartridges or hand pumps ftw

I think I’m being overly charitable, but there are some really awful products available if you don’t spend some time looking before buying.

There are some garbage ass pumps out there, but I'd take a good manual one over a battery powered pump any day. Cartridges would be after that, with battery powered at a distant third.

You should always have lights and a repair kit, maybe not a helmet light but they help for both seeing stuff and not getting hit by cars.
