GeneralI went with candy/short/charge/levy as "nouns that can be verbs", but I don't think they've ever done that since one of the first puzzles.

BlueMovies of various lengths? "Film series" is more than one film of any length and "epic" also says nothing about the length. I tried to find a connection for epic through "fantasy", like "high fantasy". I think they could have found better words for that connection.

Yeah blue was weird.

I love how purple was the most obvious one today.

SpoilerDo american stores have magazines next to the checkout line? I have seen the others at checkouts but never magazines. Those were always placed separately.

GreenYeah, I was also confused by the "impulse buy at checkout" connection. My mind immediately went to "you can probably get this stuff at a bodega, New Yorkers love their bodegas".

Should have gone with "Things George Costanza buys at a news stand to break a 100": Penthouse Forum, newspaper, gum, Clark Bar

I thought it was something you might find in a purse but then magazine made no sense

We have a lot of tabloids at the register.

Magazines are in the line at the register in Australia too. Or at least were when I was a kid...I haven't paid attention to what's there since then.

Charging cable was the one that was weird to me. I cannot imagine buying a charging cable as an impulse purchase. Tbh I thought this connection was going to be "things in an airport shop".

Purple was the first one I saw, but I thought it must have been wrong so I ended up doing all the others first.
