Anti-cheat is always malware (or at best it's DRM), that sometimes reduces cheating in games.
Why are they specifically against Linux?
Timmy has a personal hatred for Linux for some reason. He keeps shitting on it on Twitter.
Fuck that guy. UT2k4 shipped with a Linux installer that never showed up on steam/gog before they delisted it.
The market isn’t big enough to warrant supporting a launcher + game on it
Windows ARM is just Windows and as laptops continue to drop x86 it’s worth migrating as well
Also it ensures their engine can support ARM meanwhile it already supports Linux
We know it’s not anticheat because the first thing Epic did when they bought Easy was give it Linux support
They afraid linux hackers will nuke their game the second they allow them play.
