I'm sure the European Facebook users are super excited to use the latest and greatest AI slop machines being forced on them.

I actually did it, went a deleted my facebook, that thing must be damn near 20 years old. Gave feedback as Fuck Zuck, Trump and Russia.
gross
Good timing, right in the middle of a boycott of the US by a lot of the EU.
Nobody in the entire world wants this but Zuck. Nobody.
Luckily it's eight years since I've used anything Zuck-owned so I can enjoy the enshittification and pushback this will cause.
Meta brings nothing but trouble to the world
Do you know anyone who actively uses Facebook anymore? Not Instagram.
I'm in the US, East Coast, and know no one here who does. I believe I still have one aunt, ages 55+, living in the Midwest, who still uses it. She's very much the stereotype, she's been sucked into believing COVID is a conspiracy, all immigrants are dog-eating rapists, and trans people are going to break in to watch her pee in her home bathroom. She represents the average US Facebook user in my mind.
Interesting in light of the recent lawsuit filed in France. Meta's lawyers apparently don't believe it has merit. They are probably right on that.
Still, there is an unavoidable risk from unclear regulations. They obviously feel that reaching European users is worth it. I wonder why.
