/c/TenFoward: Your home-away-from-home for all things Star Trek!
Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.
~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Remember that diversity and coexistence are Star Trek values. Any post/comments that are racist, anti-LGBT, or generally "othering" of a group will result in removal/ban.
~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.
~ 3. Use spoiler tags. This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.
~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.
~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.
~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.
~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon'
~ 8. No Political Upheaval. Political commentary is allowed, but please keep discussions civil. Read here for our community's expectations.
Fun will now commence.

"Reverse the polarity of the neutron flow back at Albuquerque" you say?
edit: I apologize for this being a really bad edit. I'm attempting Gimp 3.0
I. HATE. SAUERKRAUT!
But do you love cabbages?
It's too bad we never see the other colors of the Picard Rangers.
This episode bends my mind, especially as someone who is almost the same age as Stewart was when this was filmed.
It's like, wait, which Picard am I?
that ending was a dick move to every average person. "your life means jack shit if you're not someone seen universally as special" fucking hell.
Eh, it was more like "your life means jack shit if you've given up on your dreams and just settled on numbing mediocrity" type of message.
OK, but not everyone can be a rockstar. Someone has to gather the data reports for Riker. Giving up on unrealistic dreams is a sign of maturity.
My memory's rusty, but I think Picard said a similar thing in the episode. Or was it Q?
But the perspective is from someone who did make it as a rockstar, so they're giving up on realistic dreams, which is a sign of cowardice instead.
No doubt many of us would pick the second choice as it's a peaceful life, but here stood someone who knew for sure they could and did so much better for themselves and for others. And in a Federation type setting, they can't allow themselves to waste that much potential.
If you know you can do better, how often will you be satisfied doing less?
LMFAO
Sorry for party rocking.
It's Riker who's running through these hoes like Draino
And Data's got that devilish flow, Worf with the Bat'leth, no halo
Have you ever had a dream that
That you, um, you had, you'll, you would
You could, you do, you would you want you
You could do some, you...
You'll do, you could you, you want
You want him to do you so much
You could do anything, do anything
