Summary

Sen. Bernie Sanders, joined by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, has drawn record crowds on his "Fighting Oligarchy" tour, criticizing Trump and Musk for pushing government cuts and warning of a billionaire-driven oligarchy.

Sanders advocates for Democrats to reclaim working-class support by addressing income inequality, healthcare, and climate change.

Amid backlash against Trump’s chaotic governance, Sanders’ populist message resonates across the political spectrum, even as Democrats face low approval ratings.

Some party leaders, like Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, are beginning to adopt similar rhetoric to challenge Republican policies.

I hope Walz and Sanders + AOC are at least talking to each other. I get it if they’re keeping it behind the scenes for now, but I do hope they’re communicating. They’re broadcasting on roughly the same wavelength, hitting roughly the same points.

Walz and AOC did a stream together during campaign season, so there's probably a good chance they're staying in relatively close communication.

Fighting oligarchy includes refusing to support Democrats

[–] [email protected] 35 points 3 months ago (2 children)

Even the ones that fight oligarchy?

[–] [email protected] 10 points 3 months ago (1 children)

The duopoly has a whole is the oligarchy. There's nobody in the duopoly that is fighting the oligarchy, they are defending it

[–] [email protected] 15 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Even the ones on the Fight Oligarchy tour?

[–] [email protected] 5 points 3 months ago (2 children)

There is no fight oligarchy tour, what Bernie and AOC are doing is herding sheep for midterms and 2028.

[–] [email protected] 14 points 3 months ago (2 children)

well there you have it folks. empire in decay has no solutions but everything we're doing is wrong. they must be right since they're so edgy.

you children shouldn't be on the internet.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 3 months ago

Sure, that sounds bad. But have you seen the height of the horse they are sitting on?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Everything liberals always do is wrong. And them not realizing it is most of the problem

[–] [email protected] 10 points 3 months ago (1 children)

more blame. no solutions. go away little lord edgy boy.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 3 months ago (1 children)

We have lots of solutions but liberals don't want to give up their chains.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 3 months ago (2 children)

Try naming one solution that is proactive, and not reactive.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 3 months ago

He's apparently still trying to think of something.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 3 months ago (1 children)

The only solution is not supporting the oligarchy.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 3 months ago (1 children)

That's still reactive. You have no ideas.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 months ago (2 children)

The problem is liberals dont actually want ideas that stray from their narrative.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 months ago (1 children)

You've been asked multiple times for ideas, and won't give any. I'm not a fucking liberal, kiddo. Look at my name. I'm firmly left wing.

The problem is that you don't have any actual proactive ideas, or at least none that you're going to share.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 months ago (2 children)

Talking like a liberal is gonna get you labeled a liberal

[–] [email protected] 1 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago)

All I have done is ask for actual ideas, and rebuffed your non-ideas, and you have literally said, "Asking for ideas means that you're a liberal." I want an idea such as, "Do X to further the cause," not "Don't do X to further the cause," and I have asked repeatedly for those ideas. You have repeatedly refused to provide for bullshit reasons, that do NOT apply to me. I'm not the other people in the thread, you coward.

You're an obstructionist, have refused to answer the basic question of "what are your ideas?" repeatedly all over this thread, and therefore, you are either a bot, or a shill for the right. We won't fall for your bullshit here in The People's Internet.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 3 months ago

The problem is you have no proactive ideas. You just repeat the propaganda you've read and nothing else.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago) (1 children)

Do you enjoy being wrong about everything? It's hilarious

[–] [email protected] 3 points 3 months ago (2 children)

I've yet to be wrong about anything

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 months ago

Lmao ok kid

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 months ago

None of them are fighting the oligarchy. There are several speaking out against it right now but none have the power to fight it apparently...

One of the biggest problems with our system of government is that change has to be brought from inside. You have to use the machine to beat the machine, and it's very specifically designed that way to be as difficult as possible to change.

[–] [email protected] 12 points 3 months ago (2 children)

Is that why you let Trump win the election, cut aid to Ukraine, and propose to colonise Gaza?

[–] [email protected] 7 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Liberals elected Trump 2 times. But in their arrogant hubris their failures are always someone else's fault

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 months ago

I agree, the people who let Trump win are liberals, and they are desperate to blame someone else.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 3 months ago (1 children)

And this person specifically encouraged that, too.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 3 months ago (2 children)
[–] [email protected] 4 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Yes, but you were part of the FA.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 months ago (1 children)
[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 months ago (1 children)
[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 months ago (2 children)

There was nothing for me to find out, I knew what was coming but liberals buried their heads in the sand in order to support deniers of genocide

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 months ago

I dare you to not say libs or liberals for 24 hours. I guarantee you can't process comments without saying those words.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago) (1 children)

Uh huh.

You FA. Now you're FO along with everyone else.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 months ago

I didn't fuck around, everything turned out as I expected it would. It wasnt leftists demanding the people that got us here should stay in power.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 3 months ago

Yet democratic party leadership still thinks the winning strategy is to move further to the right, in support of the oligarchs!

[–] [email protected] 4 points 3 months ago

Go Bernie Go!

[–] [email protected] 1 points 3 months ago

Do it in red states and I will be impressed.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago)

"Oligarchy" is a meaningless term used by ineffective liberals who are afraid to oppose capitalism, imperialism, the state, etc.

In reality the entire system of the state is an oligarchy.
