The EMX30 is a high-performance electric dirt bike from German startup Grizzlar. Based on the proposed specs, this thing could be a serious contender.

This thing isn't obscure. Electrical powered dirt bike exists for at least 10 years.

The problem is that it's battery effectively only lasts for one race. Then it's empty. For racing that's ok. For people that just are driving a dirt bike as a hobby the operating time is way too short.

I read it as that electric dirtbike in particular is obscure, but yeah, limited capacity is a deal breaker for a lot of folks. The trade off is more capacity = more weight, and the less nimble the bike becomes.

One day when we get better energy density with less weight, we'll have some really insane electric dirtbikes capable of some really impressive stuff.
