To be fair, he orders from a sushi place twice a week.

Not to say gamers have it right. But Japan is notoriously bad at teaching its history, particularly its role in WWII.

You also need to ask shareholders.

It's worth mentioning that the person in the YouTube video is a member of Japan's Liberal Democratic Party, which, as I understand it, is basically like what the Republican Party is in the U.S.

Just in case anyone was thinking that the man in the video is some kind of revered monk or historian -- he might just be another politician that is eager to dive into any ragebait culture war issue.

Dude is interviewing other people also. It's not just one guy.

lmao did you actually watch the video? Its one and only complaint is that the shrine in the game gets damaged. Its intent is very, very obviously to cash in on the controversy to drum up some tourism attention.

The incredibly earnest weebs in the comments promising to defend the honour of the Japanese people by not buying a computer game are equal parts hilarious and pathetic.

Right? I felt like I was taking crazy pills, what they're upset about is that they checks notes don't take off their shoes to enter the shrines? I'm still not sure if the whole thing is satire or what. Not a single mention of the black character throughout the video.

Right at 0:30 the guy starts with the claim that samurais never hurt unharmed people, the absolute brain rot of that guy, straight up close the video there.

Yeah I thought the same thing, but sat through the whole video to see if there was any relevant comments.
