Tim Cook, Apple's CEO, has praised DeepSeek AI during his visit to China. This could signal a potential partnership, especially considering Apple's ongoing struggle with its AI platform, Apple Intelligence.

According to Bloomberg, Apple has partnered with Alibaba to bring Apple Intelligence to China, with Baidu handling additional AI features. DeepSeek, a cheaper and more efficient AI model, has caused a stir in the industry, prompting competitors to revamp their AI offerings.

While there is no official announcement of a partnership between Apple and DeepSeek, it remains a possibility for the future.

Literal pennies though, just the requisite tithe to keep King Donald off his ass.

After Apple pledged to source their materials ethically and become carbon neutral nonetheless. Of course it was a lie back then but it‘s still chilling to see how little they care to hide it.

He may also have paid for privilege information about imminent major developments in DeepSeek (... ?)

Maybe? But DeepSeek open sourced a lot of their code recently. Like, literately all their infrastructure. Once again, putting OpenAI to shame.

What if he's just throwing shade at Apple's own AI division?
