  1. Any drama must be posted as an observer, you cannot post drama that you are involved with.
  2. When posting screenshots of drama, you must obscure the identity of all the participants.

The usual instance-wide rules also apply.

Chronicle the life and tale of the fediverse (+ matrix)

Largely a sublemmy about capturing drama, from fediverse spanning drama to just lemmy drama.

Includes lore like how a instance got it's name, how an instance got defederated, how an admin got doxxed, fedihistory etc

(New) This sub's intentions is to an archive/newspaper, as in preferably don't get into fights with each other or the ppl featured in the drama

So, for clarification, I was named in the feud but was never actually in the actual feud and am an observer, and can absolutely prove I was offline 100% of the time (deleted Lemmy comments linger, so it's not like I am erasing any involvement). I just happened to get namedropped as collateral damage (on another occasion, so did the Ask Lemmy mod Candyman337 simply for keeping Leni around, and Candyman337 wasn't in the feud either, and they are welcome to testify too). As an observer, this only made me want to observe it more though.

The whole thing was mentioned on Reddit. Leni was asked at one point by a .world admin if she (the admin) could ask questions in her server which is visible on her profile (I kind of wish she could have asked mine back when it would have been useful to reveal who I am despite the dangers like she had hence her old avatar, but whatever). That admin got a lazy streak due to how complicated things got before the Blahaj admins were given the offer starting in the replies of another so-called exposé (a recurring theme is these exposés are false and can be proven false, e.g. Davel on his main account tries claiming in the replies on another such thread of theirs that she is impersonating a Beehaw user when Leni's full name has been established for years and that it's the Beehaw user who is impersonating Leni). I'm would be inclined to say they actually took the time to listen because they, the most uptight instance, came to the exact opposite verdict, as seen by the "exposer's" fate after this deceiver was encouraged by another person to "downvote, report, block", ironically to deal with Leni's supposed troublemaking alts (which doesn't hold weight given that Candyman337 was themselves accused of being her alt). You know what they say, when the hecklers have egg on their face, they ought to eat it.

Thank you for giving hope, Blahaj admins hugs the admins

Let's look at the positives though. I think it's really cool that the Wayback Machine is in the fediverse, as shown by the fact that the part of your username showing your instance turns into "web.archive.org" when viewed under the Wayback Machine.

None of that is true, and a part of the whole point is the fact this Davel conjures lies like he thinks nobody will question them.

It's there a tl;dr for anyone that hasn't been following this?

See my reply. "ShiverMeTimbers" is an alt of shinigamiookamiryuu/call me Leni, who was banned from several communities for "Nazi Apologist". The admins found out ShiverMeTimbers is an alt of shinigamiookamiryuu and banned them.

The OP proves otherwise.

Take my word for it, it's way too long to recap. We'd have a script longer than the first season of Avatar.

You have to realize that this is all 100% incomprehensible to people who are not already familiar with these personalities. It's up to you whether you want to clarify, but I read this twice, skimmed the links that are accessible without dropping out of Tor, pasted the whole thing into Claude to try to gather some kind of succinct summary, and I still have not the slightest idea.

  • World War 2: Germany got taken over by fascists, made allies with some others and declared war on the rest of the world and made some progress but lost in the end.
  • Atomic bomb: Slap the right elements together into the right shape and it'll break physics and blow up harder than anything has any right to.

You can summarize big complex things in short sentences. It's possible. You have to make the effort to, though.

See my reply for context on what is going on here. The person you're replying to is an alt of shinigamiookamiryuu/call me Leni, who got banned for defending Nazis.

I do appreciate you trying to bring clarity, but I don't even want to know what's going on at this point unless it's going to impact some grouping that I care about in some way.

It seems that OP is absolutely dead-set against just explaining plainly what's going on, which biases me a little bit against them being the party in the right, but not conclusively.

Your accusation is at least specific enough that they have the opportunity to say "that wasn't actually me" or "that was the result of a moderation conspiracy by parties X, Y, Z" or something like that, but the likelihood of them being as straightforward as that about it seems kind of low at this point.

Oh God... I feel like I remember this person. It's all so confusing that I'm still not really sure but this sounds really familiar.

Is this really what people spend their lives doing? If this is really the same person, it all of a sudden makes sense why the "defense" that supposedly exonerates them is so needlessly convoluted.

Again, I still have no idea. But I do vaguely remember this now. The last time, it turned out that when we got to the bottom of all the convoluted mess, it was honestly pretty simple, and they had done some kind of terrible things and were denying that it was important any of what they had done because:

My innocence has been proven and the only one here who would so naturally die on the hill claiming otherwise is you.

I'm taking the fact checker's stance.

That isn't the same as defending Nazis, who I vehemently denounce.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 5 days ago

The OP proves otherwise. You're just grasping at straws now.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 5 days ago (1 children)

There would be a difference between explaining just this part of the drama and explaining the whole thing. The latter is what I was saying I couldn't do. The former was already summarized.

Do you know how zero-knowledge proofs work in cryptography? The main principle is that you can repeatedly reveal any amount of the solution, but without having the master key of which symbol in one part corresponds to which symbol in another part, the total amount of knowledge you will gain is 0.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 5 days ago (1 children)

I don't even know what master keys are in cryptography.

The point that I'm making is that by choosing to link to all these various postings on various different sites, without explaining the actual identities of "MexicanMonsterMash," "Friend," "Enemy," "Acquaintance," "Foe," "Boss," "Regular," "Intern," "Companion," or anyone else who's identified only by these cryptic labels I picked out from one of the 12 different links you've implicitly asked people to read to get up to speed, you have pretty much guaranteed that anyone who doesn't already know what's going on will not be able to figure it out.

I have no knowledge of this... correct if I'm wrong but I will try to boil it down to one sentence.

User CallMeLeni was impersonated and smeared by another user on Beehaw, you believe, which Beehaw admins agreed with, but .ml admin davel and other instance admins saw it the other way around?

This post is too long and the Reddit post is way too longer for me to even begin to understand the details. Hiding the names makes it even more incomprehensible. Next time try to get to the point, first. Then if you have a textbook full of context, put it in a big spoiler box in the comments to avoid anyone suggesting you aren't representing them or the situation fairly.
