Sorry, had to downvote. There’s nothing unethical about this. If they’re gonna be such big babies, someone needs to protect them. Think of the (adults acting like) children!

That's fair, i only put this in unethical life pro tips because the insinuation is that you would do this without telling them, which is a bit unethical, even if the end goal is ethical.

I didn’t really downvote.

See, personally I assumed that's why it was in the "unethical" life pro tips, but the ethicallity of cutting off vulnerable minds to fascist propaganda rounds it up to "ethical", in my opinion.

They need a conservator, pun very intended altho belatedly so since I did not recognize it right away

Ironically, a CONSERVator would LIBerate them

That's actually a brilliant idea. The real ULPT is always in the comments.

I've blocked all of that shit on my DNS long time ago. No Fox, X, Twitter, anything owned by Musk isn't available in my house, for us, for our guests coming for holidays, renting cabins, no one gets any of that.

All you’re going to do is piss them off. Educating them and showing them the harms they cause are more likely to change the way they act. Lying and being deceitful will just turn them off of your argument and make them think you’re deceitful.

Unfortunately the boomerang effect and tribalism says education won't work either. The best evidence I've read about is when their tribal leaders change their mind or they change their tribe.

Not sure cutting someone off from their tribe will get them to find another tribe to your point. But education has proven to be ineffective as well.

I've gotten "I don't care" as a response too many times when I present facts and studies.

Education and understanding means fuckall when the person has no interest in understanding, especially when their entire worldview depends on them not understanding.

My philosophy professor put it this way, 'you can't use logic to dig someone out of a hole that they made without logic in the first place.'

Ah, yes, good ol' "you've come to a battle of wits, unarmed" thing. 60% of the time, stumps 'em every time.
