I said that I hope Elon Musk dies. Didn't say anything about how he dies. I just hope that he does.

This is my third ban in the past couple months, all for the same reason; I hope Elon Musk dies.

Take it as a badge of honor.

I got banned from Xitter a few months ago, same thing.

[–] [email protected] 14 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Did you consider not openly proclaiming you wish someone dies?

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 months ago (1 children)

It's not 'someone' I'm talking about. It's a very specific person, and Leon barely qualifies as a person. He's like a disease of culture/society that needs to be eradicated before culture/society dies.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I hope you get some help some day

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 months ago

Leon dying would help.

[–] [email protected] 11 points 3 months ago (1 children)

You don't need to hope, our bodies don't last forever. He will die.

The question of "when" is where the uncertainty comes in.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 2 months ago

Ok, I hope he dies today

[–] [email protected] 9 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Getting permabanned was one of the best things that happened to me on Reddit.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 month ago

What? You don't miss scrolling through dozens of puns to reach the actual discussion with bots, trolls, Russian Propaganda Farmers, 4 Chan refugees, MAGA Nazi Traitors, etc.?

[–] [email protected] 7 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

I think it's a bullshit rule, myself.

But it is a clearly-stated rule.

The real question is how many accounts you want to throw at it, because if you ask me, in for a penny in for a pound.

And it is morally correct to harass elon.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 3 months ago (2 children)

It's happening here too. The clowns at 50501 keep thinking they're going to shut down nazis with signs and slogans, tell them differently, even politely, your comment will be removed, or you will be banned. Absolute clowns watching their last chance at freedom bleed away with a stupid sign in their hands. jfc.

[–] [email protected] 31 points 3 months ago

Or maybe the people who are planning more than holding signs aren't stupid enough to talk about it on a public forum.

And the people who run the instances don't want to be shut down or get in trouble for shit that you're saying in THEIR house.

Unless you created the instance, you are a guest in someone else's space. Be respectful.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago) (2 children)

This is why I'm personally convinced it's astroturfed.

They should be spending time building community that does something other than make signs. Like, you know, Mutual Aid Groups. Community gardens. Medics for the community.

Instead they're going to piss away precious time telling themselves their protests are doing something.

The largest worldwide protests in history (at the time) preceded the War in Iraq, to try to prevent the War in Iraq.

The war happened anyway. Nobody learned anything.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago)

Yeah I 100% agree. Protests do absolutely nothing. It's legal for instance to drive someone to get an abortion. It's legal to organize a union or organized interest/lobbying group. In the illegal space, if you are of the drug dealer affinity, get people their abortion pills and hormone therapies (and cheap GLP-1s and insulin while your at it). Get ready to hide people in your attic like people did during the nazi's. Organize offline and "clean" interest groups that can share information by word of mouth, and meet in public not on zoom, because all online activity is monitored.

I don't believe anyone can organize to directly confront the police/military or institutions that are defended by the police/military. Actual disobedience needs to be in the shadows.

I think socialists and liberals would both benefit from having more politically filtered in-person interest groups. A. to bring people out of their online bubble, B. to associate leftism and liberalism with community and fun, and C. so the community building offline is there since online is a surveillance medium. video games, sports clubs, etc. ESPECIALLY in spaces that are currently right leaning.

"What do you mean I'm being arrested? I did a protest that one time!"

Meanwhile: "They can't arrest all of us. Get the guns."

The protests against the War in Iraq did nothing. The protests of Trump's first admin did nothing. The protests against segregation did nothing. Or for women's rights. Or for queer rights. Or to end slavery. Or to have representation in England about taxes.

Things are only done with the rich and state fears for their lives. The media ignored 50501, just like it did for the protests of Trump the first go around, and against Bush.

If every single person at the 50501 protest helped their neighborhood to establish mutual aid networks and community trust instead of driving for a few hours to a state capitol, Trump's thugs would have a harder time cracking down on anyone vaguely non-white.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago) (1 children)

The protests against segregation worked, though. As did the protests against nuclear energy in the Netherlands, protests against all kinds of shit in France, protests for womens votes, etc.

Defeatism never works, though.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 months ago

The protests against segregation worked, though.

No they worked because of the Black Panthers and Malcolm X threatening the white establishment. California under Ronald Reagan push its first gun control laws because the Black Panthers used their 2nd amendment rights to ensure that black americans could walk without fear, vote, and go eat anywhere they wanted to as per the 14th Amendment.

The media has sanitized the movement to sway people into doing anything but asking nicely to an oppressive state is how you get things done, ignoring that when MLK Jr. was alive they called him a rebel who ruined every town he went into.

Defeatism doesn't work, but neither does pretending that the narrative the rich tells us is the whole truth.

Only 7 days? Amateur. I have an a4 full of permabans. And I wasn't even trying to troll or anything.

/s, but also not.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

You broke the rules and now you are coming here to vent after you had multiple warnings

I can't say I feel bad for you

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I’m here cause I upvoted a comment saying “he’s severely mentally unwell” talking about Kanye and caught a 3 day ban, like wtf??

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

Yeah, I think they're banning/blocking using AI right now. Either that, or they literally have the moderators fully on board with their Right-wing campaign.

If you really want to see what things like banning/suspension do, check out your Contributor Quality Score (CQS) here when you can: https://old.reddit.com/r/cqs/

I went from 'Highest' to 'Lowest' with one ban, and as far as I can tell, your CQS has an impact on the visibility of your posts.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 months ago

all my recent comments on that page get down votes and it really makes me wonder.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 months ago

Some lib thought I was pro Trump and said they hoped I was conscripted and I told them if so I would make sure I volunteered for the deportation squad so I could kick the libs out of the country.

Apparently wishing conscription on someone isn’t violence but saying you will deport them is (presumably only if they are assumed white? Bc I see pro deportation people on there just fine).

The problem is that their rules are not consistent and it’s almost impossible for them to put up consistent rules that jive with fascism because inconsistency is at its core.

I just got banned from Reddit for 7 days for saying I hope Elon musk poofs out of existence. Death to Reddit, and death to all Reddit admins!
