This is normal. Happens with any type of substance abuse. Part of it is your brain reorienting to a new norm (kinetics, thought processes...etc), and part of it is your body taking time to not constantly be "on guard" for a regular flood of alcohol you've been giving it for an extended period of time. Higher metabolism, cravings for sugar, improved GI activity...all that good stuff. It's a good thing. Just go with it 😂
Stop Drinking
This is a place to motivate each other to control or stop drinking. It is also a place for non drinkers to discuss and share.
We welcome anyone who wishes to join in by asking for advice, sharing our experiences and stories, or just encouraging someone who is trying to quit or cut down.
Please post only when sober; you’re welcome to read in the meanwhile.
The “pink cloud”! It’s magical isn’t it? It takes 9-10 days for alcohol to fully leave your system.
Oh it even has a name! Yeah I searched for "pink cloud", seems like not everbody experiences it. Curious.
I'm 25 days sober and haven't had anything like this. :( And I have a dull headache 24/7.
Everyone is different! I never had the pink cloud either. But I have job stability. Waking up without looking to see who I texted the night before and what did I say. Etc etc.
Waking up and not having to panic-check my phone has definitely been one of the best parts, ngl
