Like, I am not gonna say its 100% impossible for him to have died in this way... but... it generally isn't possible for a person to drown or hang themselves unless they are actually physically restrained or disabled or sufficiently crippled from being able to abort the procedure... your survival instinct almost always kicks in and says 'nope fuck this i wanna live' and you scramble to undo your situation.
Also, the fractures do not make sense for a suicide.
