**US microbiome researchers

[–] [email protected] 23 points 1 month ago

That’s the only country.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Eh, if they fund research in other countries they also have to abide by this if they want continued funding.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 month ago

Oh, the americans don't do that anymore.

"a whole buncha different bacteria in there"

[–] [email protected] 17 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

We’ve got all the best bacteria. Everyone says so.

It's perfectly ok to use the word diversity in research, and for any other reasonable issue, in forwards thinking countries.

If your government doesn't like that word then I've got bad news for you...

Time to start a revolution or flee Imo.

Kissing isn’t the only thing one should do like the French.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

"I have to admit, I'm always so impressed by Soviet propaganda. You really know how to get people worked up," the CIA agent says.

"Thank you," the KGB says. "We do our best but truly, it's nothing compared to American propaganda. Your people believe everything your state media tells them."

The CIA agent drops his drink in shock and disgust. "Thank you friend, but you must be confused... There's no propaganda in America."

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 month ago

But there is no propaganda in America

And the streets are paved with cheese!

[–] [email protected] 24 points 1 month ago

Ohh 😮 ohhhhh

Okay, everybody get your cash out we're going to crowdsource a 30 second ad on Fox News.

"Scientists find gut biome bacteria to be extremely diverse. Now we all know that diversity is wrong but you can fix this yourself, because if there's one thing that those woke bacteria hate, it's bleach. News at 11"

[–] [email protected] 23 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Just call them woke and watch as the conservatives kill off their gut biome

[–] [email protected] 14 points 1 month ago

Woke shitlibs are trying to stop you from boofing bleach to deport foreign gut flora, don't let them!!

[–] [email protected] 21 points 1 month ago (1 children)

This is literally happening. Without getting too specific so her job stays safe, my sister works as an ocean researcher for the government. They removed any mention of the word “diversity” and “biodiversity” from their research and so far, they haven’t lost their jobs yet.

Why would they get fired if they complied with the fascist demand?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 month ago

Because of all the DOGE cuts and/or fascist skullduggery.

[–] [email protected] 15 points 1 month ago

heterogeneity

[–] [email protected] 14 points 1 month ago

easy call it DIEversity as in "as full of almost as many new surprises as a dice roll at your local Trump casino!"

next question

[–] [email protected] 14 points 1 month ago

Took me a while to realise it's because Trump administration is aggressively scrubbing anything to do with "diversity"

[–] [email protected] 10 points 1 month ago (2 children)

They'll now have to use the Newspeak word "plentykind".

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 month ago

More like Anglish.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 month ago

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 month ago

Plethora, cornucopia, various, varied, numerous, multitudinous, and my personal favorite: a metric shit load.
