Throwing a few molotovs don't do anything.

Either you do it completely peaceful and try to sway public opinion;

OR

You have to have to actually have enough guns and people on your side to start an armed insurrection and go all the way, I mean like french style, all the way to DC

A half-assed riot is worse than either option.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 15 hours ago

Historically you are wrong, though. Mixed pressure has value and can be effective... But surely you know that, right?

[–] [email protected] 13 points 1 day ago

When the riot cops show up, take your protest somewhere else. Play hide and seek with the fuckers, targeting the oligarchs one by one, all through town.

They can be strong somewhere. They can't be strong everywhere. Keep them moving, keep them chasing you around.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 day ago (2 children)

You don't even need to revolt.

Just having a fully-armed protest is enough. Cops are pussies when there's a credible threat of violence.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 day ago

fully-armed protest

Until you go home for the night then they raid your house when you're sleeping and shoot you to death, individually to each of your houses, one by one.

Or just do this. (Now they even have autonomous drones, skipping the the possibility of a human refusing orders)

A show of force doesn't mean anything to them unless you are willing to use that force. Don't threaten action, skip directly to doing the action and surprise them. Don't tell them your plans before executing the plan.

Yes bever forget the curage they shiwed fulled armed abd outnumbering the shooter at Uvalde. They stood around fir 90 minutes and did nothing.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 23 hours ago (1 children)

True.

A friend of mine was a cop for two years in Kansas, and a major focal point of their training is personal safety, which is why you see cops doing nothing in so many of these clear emergency situations. They're trained not to be a hero.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 15 hours ago

Yeah the most police forces have rule 1 "make it home at the end of the day". We have had police officers fired for not shooting unarmed suspects because "he could have been and that put his fellow officers life in unacceptable danger"

Combine that with killology as one the main way police are trained. You are in enemy territory and every is willing ready and able to kill at any time and the only way you will survive is if you are willing to kill faster. Of course we have a lot a police that are tirgger happy and see everyone who is not police an enemy.

The Peaceful LA Protests of June, 2025 worked. We're all talking about it now. If the LA protests weren't peaceful, we would have different talking points for this weekend's protests and protesters would have been killed. This administration wants this.

YSK - That there is a lot of trolling and brigading starting to happen around the LA peaceful protests to start violence. Here is a roadmap from 2015 on how they do it.: https://sh.itjust.works/post/39873361

Also, this:

Nonviolent protests are twice as likely to succeed as armed conflicts – and those engaging a threshold of 3.5% of the population have never failed to bring about change.

The media is already treating 4 burned waymos and a dozen police cruisers damaged in a small 5 block radius as the total collapse of order and society.

The media will keep brodcasting lies.

Same as they did during the Civil Rights Movement

Same as BLM in 2020

You are just learning that all these "violent looter riots" for the last 50 years actually were legitimate protests demonized by the corporate owned media.

[–] [email protected] 21 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Funny, the NPR and local news reports as well as the statements from our mayor and governor have emphasized the nonviolent and peaceful nature of the protests. They've noted that even the after-dark vandalism and misbehaving is less than a typical sports-championship crowd. Sure "FOX News" is screaming lies, but nobody is supposed to believe that, their own lawyers said so.

Which political party's PACS does your mayor and governor receive funding from?

How did they work exactly?

[–] [email protected] 12 points 1 day ago

Well BLM ended racism and the cops aren't violent anymore. Oh and some of had not bloated budgets for a few months!

Get it on tape! Or better yet livestream!

[–] [email protected] 33 points 1 day ago

Like Floyd did?

I mean, yes always get it on tape and spread it as widely as you can before they seize it for "evidence", but don't expect anything to come of it.

[–] [email protected] 12 points 1 day ago

The regular media will parrot the party line

[–] [email protected] 31 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Yes, but still…. Protest Peacefully!

[–] [email protected] 47 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Civil disobedience. Disruption. That's what gets the goods.

Anyone looting should be assumed to be a false flag Proud Boy/Oathkeeper

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 day ago (3 children)

Because that's how fascist regimes have been bright down in the past.... right?

[–] [email protected] 18 points 1 day ago

Um, yes?

Look im not anti-riot at all. I love a good riot. But we know for a fact they've been recruiting fascist militiamen to do this. And that will be the pretense for martial law.

So unless you wanna get swept up in some major bullshit, avoid the looters. Don't trust them.

But I aint here to tell you what to do, its your life. Just the advice of a longtime anarchist activist.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 1 day ago

Yeah actually lol

[–] [email protected] 25 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Well if that's the case, bring rifles. If it's going to be violent and they won't leave us a choice, go off.

[–] [email protected] 13 points 1 day ago (25 children)

So how does this work? Explain this to me. You bring a rifle to a protest and then a shitty ICE dude shoots you with a rubber bullet and then what? Does this end well for anyone.

No, the police tend to go hands-off when armed people show up to a protest. This is the real reason behind the second amendment, not the republican gun nut use of guns for fear and control.

They start shit and get violent when nobody has the power to hit back.

When they actually have the potential to trigger people shooting back with intent, they are far, far more careful.

They’re bullies. They’re scared when someone can hit back.

Yeah I'm dismayed how much violence stoking I see in the comments. People need to stay safe, and throwing gasoline on a sparking outlet is not the way to do that

It's time to start killing for what we believe in. Let them fear us to bring lasting change. The dominoes have already fallen and we are in a state of civil war where only one side is choosing not to fight for fear of escalation and it's leaving us trod underfoot. Death is the solution.

So, just go into it with violence in mind, then? What advice is this really giving? Shoot first, because they're just going to lie about it anyway?

Fuck that.

Defend yourself if you have to, but telling people to use violence, just makes what they say about protesters, true. Don't validate them.

[–] [email protected] 15 points 1 day ago

Shoot first, because they're just going to lie about it anyway?

No. Nobody said show up and open fire on every cop you see. Being the instigator will not help anyone.

Show up, present arms to demonstrate that you can and will defend yourself and your fellow protestors should the cops chose to escalate as they have repeatedly done in the past, and proceed to march peacefully until/unless you are attacked. Then, defend yourself as necessary, taking care to not cross the line from defence to aggressor.

Note, I'd recommend some form of body camera as you will almost certainly have to defend your use of force in court later.

[–] [email protected] 14 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I agree with you that nobody should participate in protests with the intention to engage in violence, however I think anyone who's going to protest needs to be ready to defend themselves with violence.

Law enforcement won't be the only threat you face.

When police shoot at unarmed protesters then the protesters need to show up armed.

Police are too afraid to shoot their rubber bullets and gas grenades at armed people, because of the implication that they may defend themselves.

It's called the imperial boomerang.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 day ago

Pre-emptive strikes are apparently kosher now.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 day ago

Generally the occupation force will play coy during day, then escalate with violence after dark.

I am a bit surprised that this time around, they ate not waiting until dark. They are clearly baiting the peasants.
