Isn't nightcore sped up plus (optionally) additional pitch shift? Some of the vocals for nightcore songs sound a lot higher in pitch than what it would be if it was just sped up

I thought nightcore was a dj who speeds up anime songs and uploads them as his remix. I even tried to look him up because I loved his work

Wait until you hear what they did to "vaporwave" remixes. Many of newer "slowed down and reverbed" type edits now using time stretching algorithm with very nasty artifacts.
