You know, if what everything Midas touches turns to gold because he wants to have as much wealth as possible, then eventually the value of gold diminishes and become worthless because there is too much gold circulating. He would have just crashed the economy!

That depends on the size of the economy and whether he uses his power responsibly. If he just sells as much gold as he needs then that won't cause much devaluation of it.

I'm sure some people would've loved having a full gold suit of armor

Gold is soft metal.

Minecraft actually implemented gold armor and weapons, which is not very common in videogames. They also made it break very easily.

Oh I'm thinking like hallway of gold knight armor. Doesn't have to be practical to look cool

See no problem here. Numbers are correct, material isn't important but gold is always welcomed.

I don't think the ancient Greeks used Roman numerals. Though to be fair, I-III should be easy to understand anyway.

Phrygia wasn't Greece, so who knows what numerals they used...

I looked it up. Apparently we indeed don't know what, if any, numerals were used in 8th century BCE Phrygia.

I really made a fool of myself, haven't I?

Well, for what do we live, but to make sport for our neighbours, and laugh at them in our turn?

Well, at least you know how to deal with it gracefully 🙂
