Hear that conservatives?

You can visit the country you're trying to make our country look like.

You can get a good long look at what your dipshittery leads to. But only if you have the balls to leave the resort.

What kind of fucking idiot builds a highway between the hotels and the beach?

Thats the fucking stupidest thing I have ever seen in my life. Who ever thought that was a good idea should be shot. It couldn't be in a worse place.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 6 days ago

I agree. Probably the same idiots that built south Florida

[–] [email protected] 2 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Real question but when does a two lane street become a highway?

[–] [email protected] 6 points 6 days ago

Highways don't have crosswalks, and drivers can expect to have very few stoplights (compared to freeways, which should have exactly 0 stoplights or pedestrians whatsoever).

Streets can have frequent crosswalks and stoplights.

Sooo having a street between hotels and a beach would be no biggie, since guests could safely cross it on foot, at a crosswalk.

But with a highway there, you cannot safely cross on foot. No crosswalks. Or if there's something that looks like a crosswalk, it sure wouldn't feel safe to cross it.

Perfect for East Russian newly made widows to recover from the shock of finding unexpected money on their bank account.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 6 days ago

I’ll go. The North Korean people are perfectly decent folks.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 6 days ago

At least they already have a tourism industry, not like Turkmenistan is doing it

Rank 179 of 180 press freedom...

Let's book the tickets, honey. We are traveling to jail.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 6 days ago

Sounds like the perfect conservative vacation destination.

[–] [email protected] 19 points 1 week ago (3 children)

That just makes me wonder who they are beating in these rankings

Don't mind me wrong, but looking at what Dubai is doing, I am not surprised Kim thinks people can forget about NK reality for a nice beach.

Otto Warmbier

[–] [email protected] 23 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Hope there aren't any flags or posters that can murder a poor tourist.

[–] [email protected] 23 points 1 week ago (4 children)

Anyone who goes there of their own free will should know that they could end up like Otto Warmbier at any time. No tears will be shed for them.

[–] [email protected] 21 points 1 week ago (2 children)

They are likely betting on Chinese/Russian tourists. No way Kim lays a finger on a PRC citizen.

Can you imagine being this disconnected on the world perception about yourself and how you run your country? Crazy.

Interestingly, I've recently watched Real Life Lore's video on the topic. It's from 2 months ago and later in the video, it talks about the last batch of western foreigners that got in and how the regime almost immediately regretted letting them record and talk as much as they did.

There was also a S. Korean resort ran by Hyundai, from 1998 to 2008, which got shut down and nationalized after an incident had the N. Koreans shoot and kill Park Wang-ja, a 53 year old woman.
