I get it, this is a home shop, but...
- sandals
- shorts
- no face shield
- no hearing protection
- no gloves
- improper ventilation
- etc.

"Enthusiast" my ass
You deserve every burn your car will get from this
I never said I was an enthusiast, I take pride in the marks I get from doing work. I have been burned a lot ngl from cars, working at jiffy lube sucked ass.
This community is labeled for enthusiasts. If you not one, why you here?
Man this community is ass, y'all don't do anything u just yap about safety and complain about labels. I posted a pic of us working on a car to cars - oops guess I'm not a true enthusiast.
Man that’s not the point.
You posted yourself working on a car. That’s great. Someone gave you some advice for working safer and being a better example for the community - but you threw a fit and insulted them. You subsequently insulted the community.
Like if you had just laughed it off like “yeah I know I’ll do better next time” or something instead of being all butthurt and lashing out, maybe the community would have reacted better?
"yeah I know I'll do better next time"? Really? I never asked for advice; I'll tell off whoever I'd like. I do what I want on my own time with whatever safety precautions I like buddy.
You missed the point. You could have literally typed those words, continued to do whatever you wanted to do in whatever safety conditions you choose and nobody would have remembered you.
Instead, you chose to throw a tantrum and make yourself memorable. Alternatively, you could have not posted and continued to do whatever you’d like and nobody would comment because nobody would know.
I'm not typing these words to be remembered, I'm just aggravated that uneducated nuisances decided to try and give me tips on how to operate in my free time. I'm completely confident in my abilities and if I die because of that, hell yeah. Next time I won't post in this ass community because it's just a bunch of individuals who don't do anything but post pics and articles about cars.
I take pride in the marks I get from doing work
You can have pride in that and still attempt to do things somewhat safely so you don't destroy your body in the process.
I was once in your shoes. You don't want to be 40 with the body of a 60 year old, trust me. The aches and pain don't get better, and wounds don't heal as fast as you get older. Earlier this year, I had a minor cut take almost a month to heal up.
I see where your coming from but tbh I'm tryna go out fast personally.
Taking the cats off your car should result in an instant scrap
It takes one injury to change your entire life. It's not "waiting for optimal conditions". It's basic PPE.
If you think grinding down a weld is that dangerous then feel free to wear it yourself
You do see all those sparks flying, yes?
Those are metal particles. Flying into your face.
Quit being fucking stupid. Other people will see you doing this shit, too.
They're not flying into my face, they're flying out in a plane coming off the edge of the disc. Fuck off, skill issue 🖕 not saying anyone should do this
Your clearcoat lol
Fair but we don't really care it's fucked anyway
Fire.
