Probably an engagement thing so you can’t skip over the shit you don’t want.
Probably, since a few days I can't skip through stories either, and after opening comments it scrolls back to the top. It's getting to the point that I'll probably delete my account, what's the point of this website if you can't use it.
Because you are not the customer. You are the product on these platforms. You and your data is being sold to corporations who want to target you for ads.
Thats all these platforms are, ad spaces and data harvesting.
Best option is to delete your account and go somewhere not abusive.
Is there any way of changing it?
I wish I knew. I feel like Meta has been making their IP more difficult to use by making decisions for you.

OMG thanks. It’s a little gloomy to celebrate after both the UK and US royally fucked over disabled people on the first of the month.
But posts to raise awareness and cheer up would be cool.

Barring early death, nearly all people eventually become disabled. Dying of old age involves slowly losing your abilities. But the same things that cause early death often cause disability instead.
Live with the assumption that someday you will join us. And remember that it was fortune that caused you to not be one of us from the start.
