Ha! The word roots literally mean ‘a foot and a half’. It means I like loooong words!

Mostly cause I think the word is fun to say :3

I would say my Lithuanian is bad... so I believe you 😅

That's fair lol :3

The word is also hard for non-native speakers from what I know :3 it's like a mini tongue twister hehe

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

So kind of you 😂

I know it is not related to the question but what would it be the worst tongue twister in Lithuanian?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

The one I always fuck up is "šešios žąsys su šešiais žąsyčiais"

"Geri vyrai gera gira geroj girioj gėrė ir gerdami gyrė - geriems vyrams gera gira geroj girioj gera gert" is another popular one, but I personally don't struggle as much with it

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

😂 A lot of "š" and "g" lol.

But at least, there are vowels.

Strč prst skrz krk here you are :) (Slovak) (not my mother tongue, I just know, how to get by, Slovak)

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 day ago (3 children)

Yeah I know there are some horrifying ones out there with no vowels hahah.. unfortunately lithuanian morphology doesn't allow for them, so ours are a bit more mundane by comparison
