Sure why not? What are you gonna do - vote? HA!

[–] [email protected] 8 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) (4 children)

I don’t really see helping Texas as something that I want my tax dollars to go to. Thoughts and prayers.

[–] [email protected] 18 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Yeah, fuck the people in Texas who voted against this bullshit, right?

Not everyone has that option, and telling the people who are resisting to leave just lets the bad actors have full control.

But honestly, you can go fuck yourself for joking about innocent people dying because their state government sucks.

It's not a laughing matter and you should be ashamed of yourself.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 3 days ago

Exactly. I'll just go tell my teenaged cousin he needs to move and if he doesn't then any ills befall him are on his shoulders. I'm sure he has full control of his situation and has chosen to live in Texas. That's the choice I'd make if I was a trans teenager, for sure. /s (he knows I exist, am supportive, am queer, and am in a blue state, there's just... circumstances. He's racing towards graduation and college as fast as he can.)

[–] [email protected] 3 points 3 days ago (1 children)

But I’m not ashamed. Who is resisting? I see ZERO resisting. I see people going on diets, people standing on a street corner yelling… heck, we even had that “No Kings Day” thing which was immediately forgotten about the week after and nothing happened.

The United States politicians aren’t afraid of the people. And until they fear us, nothing will ever happen.

We all deserve to suffer. Some more than others.

[–] [email protected] 16 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) (1 children)

The fact that you're not ashamed for joking about a natural disaster where a bunch of children died says a lot about you as a person.

Many of the people who will suffer have absolutely no control over the situation.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 days ago (2 children)

It says that I do not give a shit about humanity anymore. There is nothing that you could possibly say that could make me even feel bad. You can tell me I’m a bad person all day long, I don’t feel a thing.

I did notice how you totally ignored me when I said no one was doing anything. You did not feel the need to correct me, because you completely agree with me. You’re just pissed off that I am insensitive. What a joke.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) (1 children)

People like you are what's wrong with society aside from the ever impending fascism creeping in. You're only fanning those flames and laughing while doing it. You're a piece of shit and I'll happily call you out on it, champ. And you get what you give. You're an apathetic piece of shit and I only wish the worst for you.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Being a piece of shit is subjective. I would argue that fanning the flames is helping the situation, because so many people do not realize we are on fire. My laughter is because I find leopards hilarious. I would ask you what you Are doing to prevent fascism “creeping in,” but I already know it’s nothing.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 3 days ago (1 children)

And what exactly are you doing to help the situation? Clown on people who lost their homes and lives? Real productive. And I don't need to prove shit to some asshole online. I'm doing my part, what about you?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 days ago (1 children)

I’m doing as much as you are.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 3 days ago (1 children)
[–] [email protected] 1 points 3 days ago (1 children)

But we don’t talk about what we do with assholes. Which is super convenient when you want to suggest you’re superior, because you never have to prove it, chum.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Not at all. You're the asshole coming in here asking people what they're doing to help fight, yet all you're doing is laughing at people suffering. So again, I don't have to prove myself to some loser on the internet.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Okay, loser on the internet 🤷‍♂️

[–] [email protected] 5 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Lol, the equivalent of no, u. Good job.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 3 days ago (1 children)
[–] [email protected] 3 points 3 days ago

Criiiiiinge.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) (1 children)

Right, that's a problem. You need therapy for your lack of empathy for the innocent people who will suffer and your celebration of them suffering. You're mentally ill.

And I ignored you because I wasn't going to waste my energy correcting you on it. But I am now.

Protests don't have to have an immediate effect. The fact that people did organize is the resistance you're missing. Protesting is doing something. Yeah, no one has dragged the Texas legislature into the streets and shot them, but things will have to get a lot worse before people turn to violence.

You also conveniently ignored the fact that millions upon millions of Texans voted against this shit. The fact that they were outnumbered or straight up suppressed doesn't mean people weren't trying to affect change.

And it gets harder and harder to affect change if people just leave.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 3 days ago (2 children)

Cry me a river. Mericans are so complacent. They want everything but aren’t willing to do anything to get it. There’s going to be a nation wide red wave in the midterms and everyone is going to be so confused how that could happen since everyone is so upset but not actually willing to do anything.

shot

Texans are pussies. They won’t shoot anyone.

get a lot worse

Yup and nothing will happen. I mean, maybe more kids need to die? That’s the “a lot worse” requirement you’ve set.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 3 days ago (1 children)

I like how you ignored half of my response like you called me out for.

I don't usually support others suffering, but for you I'll make an exception. I hope you have a terrible day.

Don't bother responding to me, because I'll no longer be engaging with a sociopathic piece of shit.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 3 days ago (1 children)

You are ignoring me, so don’t complain when I ignore you.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 day ago

Lol, looks like you can't read after all.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) (1 children)

I fear reading your comments in this thread has made me even stupider, something I truly cannot afford.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Well, as you’ve already indicated, you’re already stupid and probably couldn’t determine the difference between a good comment and a bad comment.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 16 hours ago

Narrator: the comment was both bad and stupid.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 3 days ago (1 children)

This is a national problem, not just a Texas one.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 3 days ago (1 children)

We have lots of problems and no one is going to do anything about them.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Its on us to change out our government with one that is full of people who think that government exists to improve peoples' lives.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Think that’s gonna happen?

[–] [email protected] 5 points 3 days ago

Not if we don't try

[–] [email protected] 5 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) (1 children)

We got the 10 Commandments in classrooms now. We good. /s

[–] [email protected] 5 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Oh, well that’s all we need.

✅ Thou shalt not drown

That’s how it works, right?

[–] [email protected] 4 points 3 days ago (2 children)

Probably needed an /s. I forget how daft people are these days.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 3 days ago

Nah, it just wasn't funny.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 3 days ago

I think they know it was sarcasm.
