I feel like this should spark revolution. God forbid the working man have something nice. This is proof that you can make a change, but without support/approval of the elites they just pull some bullshit like this. I hope Missouri replaces every single person in their legislature, senate, and capitol, and they should feel lucky that loosing their job is all that happens to them.

Nope. There's no chance of change while such States are so heavily gerrymandered. Plus, the bulk of the voters in these states will vote red 'til they're dead because voting for a dem would somehow be worse.
If you make peaceful revolution impossible, you make violent revolution inevitable.
-JFK (I think)
Sadly, they passed an anti-gerrymandering ballot measure and then repealed it (by ballot measure) before it every took effect.
They won't.
That state somehow votes for good measures but always also votes Republicans in every time.
This has happened so many times and they keep doing it. It's honestly crazy to me.
The gerrymandering there does seem to be an issue.

Only thing that can be said, FUCK REPUBLICANS.
There is no such thing as the Republican Party any more. The current party in power does not follow the basic tenets of the Republican Party - lower taxes, smaller government, family values, personal liberty, etc. - and are not Republican. The Republican Party has been fully replaced by the MAGA Party.
Democrats should make it official that they no longer recognize the Republican Party, and only refer to their opposition as the MAGA Party. Make the Republicans understand that "The Party of Lincoln" ended on their watch.
Republicans haven't been the party of Lincoln since the Southern Stratgey.
Sure, but they believe it, and it would be productive to sow doubt in their ranks, and make them defend it.
Common Missouri practice. People get it on the ballot and pass it, then Republicans go and undo the will of the people. Most states like Missouri are not as red as they appear. Democrats in Missouri trail Republicans by about five percent. One of the issues that creates an imbalance is the City vs Rural. Nearly half of Missourians live in cities. But we are ruled by those out in the country.
Gerrymandering allows those in rural, low population areas rule over far larger populations, giving the conservatives an advantage, even when they are in the minority. It isn't fair to the majority of voters, and has to end. These conservatives want to have computers and AI do everything but draw political districts.
Hey, look at that, a Republican subverting the will of the voters. Never have I seen such villai-lol I totally have
Godspeed Italian plumbers
I'm originally a St. Louis kid, but i live in Ohio now and it is frustrating seeing both states i consider my home get fucked over like this. Obviously the Republicans are going to try to screw over everyone, but it drives me nuts that the Democrats don't put out ads ripping into the GOP for striking down ballot initiatives. It's such an easy slam dunk, but they won't do it.
The DNC is also anti-worker. That’s why they don’t campaign on the issue.
Fascists gonna fascist. What a fucking monster.
The people VOTE for it, but Big Business bribes all the politicians to defy the vote of their constituents and give them what they demand.
IF we ever get out of this mess, we have to make some major changes to our system, do that these corporations and politicians understand that they work for US, and they will do what they are told.
Nothing will meaningfully improve until the rich fear for their lives
This is what the American Fascist Party does. Every single time. Why we can't have nice things.
Missouri sounds miserable.
It is. We have sub-zero winters and 100+ summers coupled with a state legislature that tries to overturn almost every citizen led ballot initiative.
an onerous mandate that imposed burdensome record-keeping
WON'T SOMEONE THINK OF THE POOR BUSINESS OWNERS??? They just want to be entrepreneurs, we can't bog them down with things like benefits, record-keeping, and paying employees!!!
