He got 200 votes the first round. Jeffries got 212 (all the democrats). 20 republicans voted for someone else.
Then he lost and the other guy is speaker why is there even going be more voting.
Majority is 217 votes and nobody got that many. Jefferies was closest at 212.
How much to buy 5 republican votes? Can we crowd fund it? It would be hilarious if Jeffries won.
If, and a big if that happened, the rule that one vote to remove a Speaker is still there, and the GOP would waste not even a minute invoking it. Mainly because it would probably be undone soon after a Democrat gets the position.
That doesn’t really represent what happened though.

No mention of who Matt Gaetz voted for. Journalists should be keeping track of what he's doing to solve the problem he created.
One journalist said something about him looking like a dog who was busy sniffing his own farts.
Gaetz was one of Gym's defenders back in 2018 when he was eyballing the house speakership on Paul Ryan's way out.
So it wouldn't surprise me if Gaetz is lining to volunteer for some of the ol' Ohio State locker room routine.

McCarthy only had to bribe MAGAnauts, though, and they only believe in personal profit. Jordan has to bribe members of the establishment, and some of them actually believe in the rule of law.
