The only thing stopping them from using the rainbow is the fear that they might be mistaken for a supporter of the LGBTQ+ community. Instead, they choose to hate the rainbow.

Beyond being stupid, I'm fairly sure that this view is heretical. If gays are able to steal stuff from God, then God is subject to the mercy of humanity, and I'm pretty sure the church frowns upon that belief.
Um, the frost giants built the rainbow by hand and are done with it after the götterdämmerung of Ásgarðr. They made it pretty taking pride in their workmanship and welcome public use.
