Time machine + $100 for a lifetime subscription to nzbgeek. I got a lifetime subscription a couple months before they removed the option, only had it for a few months now but well worth the money already. Most of my shows, movies, and music come from it (supplemented by torrenting)

I currently use both NewsgroupNinja and NewsDemon combined but still cant get past about half a gig a second but it very well may be a limitation in my download server somewhere.

Bruh back in my days we were happy if Usenet and Torrents went to half a Meg a second!
Oh man, I feel you, I was on dial up well into the 2000's and the first time I had anything better than a couple of megabit on crappy DSL with bad lines was just a couple of years ago when I was finally able to get 100/40. now I have fibre with a gigabit down, but still only 50meg upload.
I max out my 100 down, still not able to get fiber here.
Half a gig? Doesn't sound like a problem to me! sounds like you are hitting ISP limits maybe?. Isnt it ~600/700 average?
I's not a problem at all, it's pretty sweet, just getting only about 400-500 mbits when I can get over 900 combined when testing with torrents and other services. ABB say they absolutely, unequivocally do not throttle usenet. So I just suspect it is a limitation of my server setup and I'm too lazy to try to find the cause..
i think the only real spot for a curated list of bf deals will be the usenet subreddit. otherwise the shitty affiliate sites wont really show you all the actual deals, just their pay per sign up links.

I want to help you, friend, but I suggest you don't utter those words again, lest you find your memory wiped... Also you should google news about Astra or something like that, I've found astra to have the most complete news coverage ;-)
astraweb hasnt been their own thing for years. they sell the same thing (omicron backbone access) others sell for cheaper.
TBH it's been awhile since I used NNTP to download Linux images. Probably like 8 or 10 years. So I have no idea what's up these days. I think I used astra because headers didn't count in your quota, and I had my own indexer so I pulled a lot of headers. Funny how alt.binaries.linuximages and alt.binaries.erotica.amateur.realmoms.fetish.diapers didn't get indexed by the major free indexer at the time.
