I'm inside my apartment on the other side of the Atlantic and I too can smell it.

Brad Pitt was his stand in, can't you tell?

[–] [email protected] 22 points 2 years ago

I'm just going to go out on a limb and assume the sketch artist makes money on Patreon selling custom Edward Cullen "art" and just couldn't stop the habit.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 years ago

Is this the guy who starred in The Bankman?

Sketch artist: "No can do, but if you slip me a Bennie, I can make it look like you have a chin"

[–] [email protected] 33 points 2 years ago (1 children)

He should have asked to sketch artist to make him look not guilty.

[–] [email protected] 24 points 2 years ago

They are artists, not magicians.

[–] [email protected] 27 points 2 years ago

Wow, I’m shocked! Well, maybe not that shocked.

[–] [email protected] 26 points 2 years ago

It's early and I thought this was The Onion for a good 2 minutes. Wow.

[–] [email protected] 24 points 2 years ago

The narcissism doesn't fall far from the tree

[–] [email protected] 21 points 2 years ago

sketch artist: "I'm good, but not that good"

[–] [email protected] 16 points 2 years ago

Ah, like father like son I see

[–] [email protected] 14 points 2 years ago (1 children)

It's even worse if you see him do it on camera. He did everything but wink and do an air kiss.

[–] [email protected] 14 points 2 years ago (5 children)

...why are courtroom sketch artist still a thing?

[–] [email protected] 26 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Because it's usually not allowed to take pictures in court

[–] [email protected] 14 points 2 years ago (2 children)

That's not a real reason. Most courts are recorded, have stenographer and apparently sketch artists. There's absolutely no reason for court sketch artists to exist in modern society. It's just silly and wreaks of some conservative tradition.

I don't think providing steady employment to a local artist is the worst thing taxes support.

Those recordings are not available to the public though, right? Isn’t that the difference? Or am I just mislead here?

I see why the tradition of it feels conservative. But I dunno. I think it’s cool. Seems like good culture.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 years ago (1 children)

But why? Seems arbitrary and antiquated

[–] [email protected] 7 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Think it's to protect the identities of people

[–] [email protected] 6 points 2 years ago (1 children)

It's working well, I definitely do not know it's trump Jr there.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 years ago (1 children)

That's not who it's supposed to be protecting lol

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Then who’s it supposed to protect?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Witnesses, the jury, people like that

[–] [email protected] 6 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Because AI aren't allowed in court, yet...

[–] [email protected] 9 points 2 years ago (1 children)

"Why does the defendant have a different number of fingers in every scene?"

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 years ago

-AI flips you off with 13 middle fingers on each hand

They captured his stank cloud well

[–] [email protected] 10 points 2 years ago

Take comfort knowing the sketch artist made him look like Jack Smith’s brother.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 2 years ago

They’re sketch artists not magicians

[–] [email protected] 10 points 2 years ago

They are an artist Jr not a miracle worker.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 2 years ago

Well if the artist honored that request they wouldn't have gotten a likeness

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 years ago
[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 years ago (1 children)

He looks like the portrait of Dorian Grey

[–] [email protected] 6 points 2 years ago

I'd make a joke about Jr saying, "Before, right? Right?!??" but he wouldn't get the reference.
