Someone pointed out that it is better to refer to "Christian Nationalists" as "Nationalist Christians" as it has a more accurate and convenient abbreviation, specifically, Nat-C's

Revelation 11:18
The nations were angry,
and your wrath has come.
The time has come for judging the dead,
and for rewarding your servants the prophets
and your people who revere your name,
both great and small—
and for destroying those who destroy the earth.”

I sort of wish God existed so they could tell this woman she's stupid af.

I think God is a gap filler in human understanding, and used in different ways as human understanding progresses to continue to fill gaps in understanding.

I'm not even addressing the possibility that there is some enormous power out there somewhere.

But using Genesis unironically like this make baby Jesus cry

When faced with an incomprehensibly complex universe our ancestors created an even more incomprehensible complex deity (or deities) to "explain" it.

Therefore making the problem more than twice as difficult.

Wonder why nobody mentioned Dinosaurs in the Bible- I mean Jesus must have had some encounters with them, right?

Will somebody get these daycare dropouts out of legislation decisions? I am sick of their fairytales making policy.

I'm not surprised. Anyone ever read We are Legion (We are Bob)? A decent series but I feel like the US is looking more and more like it might end up resembling the one in that book, a really dumb, ignorant Authoritarian Theocracy.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

I'm suspicious of any politician with the last name Handel after reading those books

How would a 3d model... oooh! You're not talking about the Human model by Daz3d? What are we talking about then?

The.... Bible? And here I thought citing a 3d Model was crazy...

Then she should read and take heart 1 Timothy 2:11-12 if she's that kind of fundamentalist.

Say the lady with an 8 head.

@Bobble9211 at which point the population shall start to treat those people for what they are... psychiatry patients that should be institutionnalized

[–] [email protected] 10 points 1 year ago

Religious believers are not mentally ill. They're deeply indoctrinated, and that can happen to any mentally sane people.

They're dangerous, though.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Not possible until humanity stops producing bullshitters bullshitting about what happens when you die, preying on those who have difficulty ignoring said bullshit

[–] [email protected] 13 points 1 year ago (1 children)

"Men will never be free until the last king is strangled with the entrails of the last priest."

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

That's the beauty of capitalism - it doesn't need kings or priests to oppress the masses!

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 year ago (1 children)

They actually believe that.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 year ago

That's the saddest part. They're fully brainwashed into believing that asinine statement.

Time will not cease to climate change. The human species will certainly cease, likely from an anthropogenic great filter.

We survived the threat of nuclear holocaust (for eighty-ish years so far) but climate change can induce war and famine and natural disasters. A population correction is almost assured and is imminent in civilization-scale time, and our survival after that event is in jeopardy.

Christian futurists believe escatology is part of their paradigm, and Reagan believed he would fulfill his part by launching a retaliation to the USSR's initial nuclear strike. (The Soviets were determined to do no such thing.)

Still, the planet and its ecology will continue on without the naked ape, as it does the dinosaur, and will all but forget about us. Jesus and Christianity will die as we do, if not before.

Citing Babylon 5 could make her look smarter.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Tried picking that steaming pile up recently.

Lemme tell you, those first 10 episodes have not aged well, and I’m not talking about the CGI

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Have you picked the Old Testament lately?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

They're both christian propaganda, so why does that make a difference?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

One is tagged as fiction, another one isn't.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 year ago

In how-should-I-know:any-number, it also said their sky daddy flooded the entire world. Pretty sure harvest ceased that year.
