There is a rumor going on that she is actually a he. Many also think he has some sort of bipolar issues. But some of the craziest people can be very talented at some things. This is the case with this person. It's actually extrememly rare that the person can be that crazy and this talented at same time. This is why it's so fascinating.
Interesting. Do you know if they would be masquerading as a woman to push their weird agenda, or just to troll? It is definitely interesting when people are crazy and talented like that, though in this case the talent is more interesting for sure… their grandstanding and transphobic takes aren’t really an original or unique brand of crazy, pretty basic. I would probably have to dig deeper to see the depths of the weirdness but my brain only has so much tolerance for consuming that kind of bs.
Good chance it's for OPSEC reasons and is a small, highly skilled team, not a single woman.
If it was a team, they wouldn't allow the craziest person among them to be their mouthpiece

Yup. My bet as well. People love to place achievements and advancements in technology on one person while in reality there's always a team behind it. The reality is things have gotten so complex, its damn near impossible for one person to make a breakthrough themselves without building on the work of someone else or fragmenting the work and have it be done by multiple people.

Frankly speaking, it's not like anyone on the internet can tell the difference. And, at least speaking personally, it's not like I need to know. If they crack stuff well they crack stuff well. If their political views suck their political views suck. So be it.
Yup. Everyone lies on the internet. If they were a group, and stayed silent, people would be more likely to assume they were a group. I just thought it was interesting that their logo is a woman in a crown that's way too large for her head.
If I had to guess, I would say a troll on sadistic power trip with a mix of bipolar or maybe schizophrenia.

I can only find sympathy for brilliant, troubled people like him.
That rumour was debunked when Voksi said he wasn't involved in the scene anymore and CPY acted like absolute clowns.
I don't beliave that Voksi is EMPRESS. One thing I know is that EMPRESS was one of the crackers in CODEX scene group and this is why CODEX group was dissolved because EMPRESS was so crazy :-) EMPRESS was a huge security risk for the scene and there are some rumors that EMPRESS caused some scene busts. But don't read too much into this comment ;-)

Yeah it's not even just that, she's unhinged as hell. Each new controversy has a longer and weirder NFO or backstory or 16 pages of screenshots from her discord from fanboys that want her feet pics.
I love piracy, I love a good radical, I don't love the weird vitriolic hate and self worship she spews out.
Read all of them. They get more and more deranged over time.

Being charitable, no deadline + they chose to write this for fun so it's a passion project as opposed to an "ugh another thing I have to do for work I guess" project.

Surprisingly, I learned about him in AP Euro in high school in Texas, a very similar State from an education perspective.
