I noticed there wasn't a TST Lemmy community. The Satanic Temple is a modern satanic religion that aims to promote human rights and compassion. Check out their about page on their official website at https://thesatanictemple.com/pages/about-us. Note that this community is not an official affiliation. TST is also separate and not affiliated with the Church of Satan, who have a slightly different viewpoint of what satanism truly is. Dunno what to post in here, but maybe some will search for this and take part. Hello!

The after school satan club is making inroads in the US thanks to the supreme court and in particular Clarence Thomas. There are now 4 states (CA, OH, CT, and PA with KS as a proposal) with active clubs where kids can learn unfiltered science and other subjects I'm sure.

Hopefully the new year will bring many more thanks to the SC and we can have better educated kids.

Maybe the motto should be join the After School Satan club and play games and learn things the schools are too afraid to teach. Also kudos to whoever dreamed up the name.

After school satan is an initiative from The Satanic Temple, or TST, they are different from the Church of Satan, like Catholic and Protestant are different. TST is basically the politically active one and they do not follow the satanic bible but rather have the seven tenets

They're also a fundamentally atheist organization, so I'm not sure the analogy holds.

Personally, I was peeved that Good News Clubs were forcing their ways onto public school grounds and the US Supreme Court sided with the ministries and not the schools or the public. I don't want my kids being threatened with Hellfire, which the GNCs totally do.

I want more than ASS. I want Death Metal Antichrist Teaches Basic Guitar I want after school LGBT+ inclusion club. I want half a dozen options other than Jesus commands obedience on pain of eternal imprisonment.

Gotta love ASS club! I wish there were a club that taught science / stem stuff in high school. It would've been actually an interesting club to join and attend.
