To live your life sure, but it'd actually pretty easy to spend it if you wanted to spend it.
You could easily dump a couple hundred billion into fusion research for example.
If it worked well you'd probably become a trillionaire, but no guarantes there.
That's not the kinda stuff that should be dictated by individual people just because they are rich, but by a democracy and/or a team of experts.
