No worries. NAS is “network attached storage”. It’s just a small computer that with a handful of hard drives that are exposed to your network.

In the current context, it’s a suggestion to host your own media and access it via Plex or Jellyfin.

But it can do far more than that. It’s a great place to backup photos and your other computers. Synology also comes with a lot of pretty great software out of the box, including a full replacement for Google’s “office” suite.

I started with the 5-bay model and it’s been serving me great for years.

Na. It just shows a warning, but it doesn’t have any effect. Annoying, but not enough to change my mind about them. I’ve got two units and both have been rock solid.

You’re not wrong, but that’s a terribly sad thing to be grateful for.

Do tell. How would you have prevented all this from happening?

Uh, we’ve all known for years. We’ve been plenty awake and suffering for it the whole time. Unfortunately people (Democrats) who tend to act in good faith don’t know how to deal with people who don’t. While we were fighting for votes, they were fighting to make sure those votes didn’t count while we stood by and let them.

MILLIONS of voters were purged from the voter rolls and bomb threats were called into polling places in critical precincts on election day. The impact was more than enough to swing the election. Here’s the numbers. The elected democrats didn’t do enough to stop it and now we’re stuck fighting an uphill battle that we all must fight. It’s going to get ugly – for us and the rest of the world.

Precisely because others don’t.

Made in Taiwan … exactly. The company might be American, but the product isn’t. The company is easily replaced by another with enough startup capital, and China has plenty of that.

Brazil and Argentina will pick up the slack.

Honestly, China already has no reason to continue doing business with the US. The farmers are rightfully fucked. Turns out it’s not “woke” that makes you go broke.

Honestly, is there any product or material from the US that can’t be obtained in another country? Am I wrong to think that the rest of the world will just shrug and get what they need elsewhere? I mean the appeal of the US to other countries is our insatiable appetite for consumption, which can be leveraged for favorable trade deals. If we stop buying foreign goods because they are so expensive, we’re just fucked.

Get down in my ass. (Nas)

Summary

Wisconsin resident Bradley Bartell voted for Trump's promise to crack down on "criminal illegal immigrants," but now his Peruvian wife Camila Muñoz has been detained by ICE.

Muñoz, from Peru, overstayed her visa but had applied for legal residency. On their way home from a honeymoon, immigration agents detained her at a Puerto Rico airport.

Despite no criminal record, she remains in a Louisiana detention center. Her case reflects ICE’s broadened enforcement that now includes documented immigrants.

Bartell, once supportive of stricter immigration policies, now questions the impact on families like his own.
