Its decentalised nature doesn't get you removed from the whole network though unlike Reddit. You can always interact with other instances.

each instance has their own rules and different admins, you can't expect lemmy.world mods to make changes on a lemmynsfw.com community. As a different example, I am the admin of lemmy.bascul.in but I can't change the moderators in a community hosted by lemmy.world.

Beat the competition, then enshittify yourself while your customer base sticks with you is the strategy used in all Amazon products. Amazon is the last storefront I would want to sell games in the scale of Steam.
