The really interesting thing about DS is not the Chinese government has access to everything in it but that it broke the US AI invincibility myth. People who are dependent on things for their livelihood or their political beliefs tend to view those who are complaining as ratbags. If they, themselves, are suddenly negatively affected and need help, they have an epiphany.
It’s always the same, social security is a rort until you’ve lost your job or can’t work anymore. Climate change is a scam until your house gets burned or flooded and you can’t get insurance.
