You’ve perhaps compared the wrong niche though. Game streamers are the Harlem Globetrotters; you’re not there to watch excellent gaming, but entertaining gaming. Whereas esports are the equivalent to competitive sports.

That said; I too struggle to care about watching either. Even my old boss Limmy, no care for watching him stream.

One member of the group had decided to leave, so wanted a valiant sacrifice for his character, none of the rest of us would leave him behind though, so we almost got TPKd before the DM admitted there was literally no way to win the encounter.

I used to classify these as PICNIC.

Problem In Chair, Not In Computer.

Not to be confused with “No.”

I’m utterly befuddled by this woman; somehow she hates the idea of trans women so much that she’s now closely allied with Posie Parker, a woman who hates women, hates suffrage, has advocated for the removal of women’s rights for years, and shares closely held opinions from just right of Goebbels.

Somehow Jo has become so utterly single-minded, she’s paired with the antithesis of all the other things she believes in (and still claims to believe as justification of her anti-trans nonsense).

No, she held almost 2m, sold 25% and has 1.4m in remaining stock.

Easy, get Bashir to do a Kurn on them, then send them back to their timeline.

Nothing to add here but you’ve had a bunch of great answers; thanks to all the respondents and to OP for being super candid. This thread was a great read!

I wouldn’t read into it; Deadline end most articles that mention a production with a small synopsis.

I think you’ve got some wonderful answers here already so I just want to add something that a few points brought to mind.

In my opinion one can authentically play a trait without playing a diagnosis. A great example of this is Drax in the MCU. He isn’t “the autistic one” he’s the guy with hyper literal interpretation. That autistic (amongst other classes) people relate that and feel seen isn’t because he’s “being autistic” but because he sees things like them; the other characters regard that and it somewhat authentically shows the outcomes one such person might have in these wild tales.

You can represent elements of neurodivergence without going all in on an ND character that might only serve to entrench stigma.

A memory leak in app shouldn’t be capable of impacting system-wide function this way. The application would be forced to close (or crash) at the OS level before being allowed to. I wonder if there is an OS bug you’re seeing which is manifesting most readily in Avelon?

This photo was taken years and years ago, look how young Neil Gaiman is in it.

Came across an issue with this post: https://lemmy.ml/post/9922111

When viewed in browser it’s a scene from Star Trek about beards, when viewed in Avelon though it’s a video of chinchilla’s dancing and waving their butts about.

Happens each time the post loads, in both the main feed and the post view itself.

To the Trill with the license to thrill, happy 60th birthday!

Hey @evgiz,

I have a quick wee feature request. I’ve got the mark read in scroll AND hide on read features enabled. As it stands I get about 20 posts or so from last I checked Avelon, followed by months old content.

It would be great if, at least on my Home feed, I could have the feed end at posts older than a week?

Thanks muchly, J.

Hey bud, was wondering if you could start mirroring the RC of a release to TestFlight. I’ve noticed during the last few releases (three at least) that after a TestFlight pass an RC is pushed to the Production channel but not mirrored to TF. That means that the TF testers are back and forth between TF+AppStore, and that TF testers can’t use the feedback function or send logs if we encounter issues in the RCs.

I noticed a couple things on the new TF build. Posting works, but, when both posting and commenting, the content box is bordered by what seems to be a 2px red line.

It’s also slightly counter intuitive when drafting a new post, to have to hit “Done” before being able to hit Publish.
