Honestly? It feels a bit mid for me. I keep reflexively opening the app, and there's still a lot of smaller communities I peek at. I try to keep time-burning scrolling here, but it doesn't feel the same.

I'm using one of those library sellers and Plex keeps taking down the library :/

The library folks are advertising Emby as an alternative but Plex is the only thing that works on my old iPad on iOS 10. Do yall have any similar setups or have found alternatives?

Dang this really sucks :/ i understand why it's important from a modding perspective. I guess I'll need to open an account elsewhere and get a client with multi account support

I'm afraid of seeing season 2 of Altered Carbon cause the first one was so awesome

I also wonder/hope if specialized Lemmy apps can paper over friction issues like these. For example i know that RedReader prefers viewing the cache of pages if recent

That's in insane amount of users and so glad they've picked an instance that will eventually refederate

I've had the kindle Paperwhite 2 for a very long time, only read books through KOReader on it. I only bring it out of airplane mode to update that.

I want the more the merrier as long as we can moderate the more toxic tendencies, but at this moment I'm also pleased that much of the folks and vibes are much like reddit when i first joined

Here's hoping that the Lemmy API proxy can expedite a transition to allow these apps to stay useful after June 30th. It would be a beautiful sight to have diversity of clients here, and especially supporting the fediverse answer to Reddit instead of the centralized competition.

I would even be happy to see kbin growth because we on Lemmy don't lose out 😅

The even better experience is seeing people try out federated versions of what they love, re-decentralizing the internet 🥰

Please mark book and show spoilers

I understand it's not the best sci Fi out, but when I was young City of Ember was a favorite book of mine and in Minecraft I loved underground structures. I love how Juliette is shrewd but imperfect, even frustrating. The show and books are getting different more each episode but in ways that add intrigue by fleshing out characters or hardly explored parts of the silo in each other.
