I'm pretty sure scientists back then could have told you that these balloons are too small. The person(s) who drew that picture most likely wasn't a scientist, which is why it looks how it looks.

Lets be real, it's not like they will be interesting since the 5070 and 5070ti are already boring.

And the people who want to go back to the 50s don't realise that the fiscal policies were what made that time great, not the social norms.

For example, the great thing wasn't that women had to do the housework, the great thing was that you only needed one worker per household to live a good life.

The home prices have climbed to these very high levels for many years, i's nothing new. A large part of it is probably due to lax rules on investment in real estate.

The home forclosures are probably due to higher interest rates.

You certainly can't buy a home in Germany that's anywhere close to as cheap as the one in japan. Maybe there are some very remote plots of land with a ruin of a house on it, but those will still cost more than 4000€.

Public auctions around my area usually start at around 150k or more, so it's just not worth it for me.

Yeah, it would be funny if the car is so crappy that he can somehow open it with his foot, but the wife/gf part is just boring.

Having my freshly planted raspberries and strawberries carry some fruit and seeing my newly planted fruit trees get some leaves.

That's why there are parking lots next to rural train stations, at least here in Germany.

But it doesn't make sense to put lots of parking spaces next to a train station right inside a city because there are so many better usages of that space in a city center.

Hydrogen is definetly harder to store than ammonia and it takes a lot of energy to compress or liquify it.

And I certainly don't want commercial nuclear ships, because companies will just create "independent" companies that will "mysteriously" go bankrupt once a ship reaches end of life and needs to be decontaminated.

So the taxpayer would have to pay for the decomissioning costs.

The gestures in Android do the same thing as the button bar, so even when I use gestures I always have a dedicated back gesture.

Star Trek isn't hard sci fi, as long as it isn't completely ridiculous the writers will alter devices to fit the plot.

So if the writers can just make things fit the story, I don't see why we can't do the same. After all, it wouldn't be weird if a larger device has a larger storage capacity as well.
