Yay they lived! That was a nice wrap up to the season, this is definitely one of my favourite shows currently. It'd be nice if Jinshi could just be forthcoming about his feelings, I'm still not even sure if Maomao feels the same though I guess she's not the most in-touch with her emotions. Maybe next season they'll stop tiptoeing around it. I'm happy to see Lady Gyokuyou become the empress too.

Oh yikes, that's stupid expensive. Definitely not worth the cost. I think it'll get harder for me to not buy if they release a new Animal Crossing or Zelda, but honestly even then it's not worth buying a whole console for 2 games. Probably just have to play them by other means :P

Doom: The Dark Ages, for example, is CDN$89.99 on Steam currently. Cost of living has gone insanely haywire in Canada honestly, we're getting price gouged left, right, and centre, and every company seems to be pushing their prices up because people just keep paying up. It's really frustrating.

Yeah I've already bought 10 games and a DLC... And spent less than $100 doing so! :P

Nintendo is right out to lunch on these price hikes. The Switch and its games were already stupid expensive, and then they jacked them up even more for Switch 2. I usually buy Nintendo consoles and games but I've been priced out of the new console. I'm not going to spend $110 + tax on one game when I could get like 5 decent games on my PC for that price, heck more even with sales.

I'm honestly surprised at the amount of people willing to pay these prices. I'm so sick of corporate greed.

Same, I really liked Loulan. I do wonder if the gleam in the bush was the hairpin.

It just looks like normal growth to me. I don't have a khroniana black so I can't be certain for sure though. Honestly if it were me, I'd just let it do it's thing and intervene if the plant's health starts to decline. You could spray it with a fungicidal spray if you're really worried.

The mold on the pon is harmless to plants, I get it on some of mine since it's so humid. I had to really increase the drainage on my soil (equal parts perlite, potting soil, and orchid bark), and the bonsai mix I use for my semi hydro develops the mold if I fill the reservoire up too high.

I'm so here for it! r/hoyas is probably the reddit community I miss the most lol.

Beautiful compacta! Mine's working on a peduncle so hopefully I'll have some flowers to post soon :)

This is the second time in 3 months it has bloomed from the same peduncle. One of my favourite blooms so far, and no scent! :)

Also sometimes it's unavoidable without workarounds. It shouldn't be crazy to expect to buy a product that works and works well without it spying on you. Why should companies get the right to continue to collect data and generate more profit off of an item the consumer owns. Why should consumers have to give up their right to privacy so that a company can make obscene profits off of their information?

I don't recognize it or the guy in it, that's why I didn't think it was New Girl. It's probably from something I haven't seen.

I don't think it's from New Girl... Do you remember which episode?

Hoya heuschkeliana (inner variegation)

I say this about all my plants but this is one of my favourites, it's just so stinkin' pretty! Look at these rosey leaves!

Probably, I just doubt they're news-worthy enough to be reported on.

The camera flash really makes it pop! Had this one for about a year and a half now.

This is from when I first got her (she came home with some mealy bugs, though it was easier to kill on her than on my Hoya compacta):

She has such cute leaves! She was my first ever hoya.

This is my Hoya hellwigiana. It's starting to throw out a peduncle again. Honestly last time the smell was so over-powering that I'll probably chop it off before it can bloom.

Watering my plants today and noticed how cute these two were looking so I thought I'd share :)

This is my hoya sipitangensis, not sure why it chose to flower while I'm re-rooting it but I'm not complaining.

A lot of comments about the smell here haha. This one actually smells pretty faint and just smells like flowers. I have heard some varieties smell bad but so far none of the ones that have bloomed for me have been bad.

Went to a plant show yesterday with no intention to buy. I've had a h. gunung gading (bottom) on my list for so long though and the price was right so here we are... Also there was a carnivorous table so I picked up a sundew (top) to go with my pings that I had at home.

Shipping has closed for the winter so I will not be getting anymore plants this year. Probably for the better... I'll have no space once they all get bigger 😅

Got a couple of my wishlist hoyas (undulata and clemensorium) and some other beautiful plants including some succulents and begonias.

I've been waiting a month or so for the blooms to finally open up! They smell so good, very floral.
