Sandwich it between two pieces of scrap wood and drill slowly.

The backup singers to my anxiety attack.

An applicable grain of wisdom for anyone leaning to the first camp in this list:

"Burying your head in the sand just makes it easier to kick you in the ass"

Was this written by oglaf?

Hugely concerning, and it's worse than that because the other two branches of our government exist to stop this from happening but the appear to be totally OK with it.

Conspiracy moment. I believe this is why tiktok is constantly under attack. It's a hugely popular platform and it's algorithm isn't tuned to keep us from watching people complain about actual problems. They make a huge argument about the rise in protests about Gaza being a Chinese attack strategy, but in person I've yet to meet one human being that thinks the Gaza situation is OK. They were just mad that we had a loophole out of the propaganda tunnel.

I actually just recently did this after a misplaced magnet nearly took away my digital media collection. Turns out a Plex server is stupidly easy to set up and you can stream it everywhere you can watch Netflix.

Just to add, once you have your own server, you can share your library with up to 100 friends on Plex. Just become your own streaming service for basically free.

I'm mad that the knuckles don't say honk.

[–] Postmortal_Pop@lemmy.world 2 points 5 days ago (1 children)

I have and that's why it frustrates me, because it's functionally just partially chewed cheese bread in a triangle.

Your second point actually helps me suss out some of my issue. Yes, stuffing and mashed potato sandwich is just carbs on carbs on carbs, but each of those has their own distinct flavor and texture profile. While I wouldn't stop at just those, you're only a slab of ham and some cranberry relish away from my traditional Thanksgiving leftovers sandwich.

Mac and pizza though, I wouldn't put mac and cheese on bread and call it a sandwich. I think my hangup is the Mac and cheese.

This is worse than the Mac and cheese pizza and twice as confusing.

This is the one that bothers me more than anything. This is just cheese bread in disguise but uses four times the dishes to create.

Absolutely adding frog grenades to my D&D campaign.

So I'm sure just about everyone knows "The Cool S". It's ubiquitous in school culture and if you haven't drawn it, you probably know someone who has.

The thing is, no one knows where it came from. Everyone has a cool cousin or older sibling that "invented" it, or claim it's from some group or company, but it always turns up to be false. In fact, the oldest known example is in a book cataloging street art published in 1973. From there it's been found on basically every notebook and lunch table the world over and represents a big niche in childlore.

So here's where I go off the deep end... What if this is actually The Yellow Sign?

The yellow sign is never expressly described in the story, with the weird wiggly one being an artist rendition. However, in The King in Yellow, a character draws it freehand to show someone. Which implies it's easy to freehand which the current one isn't. Furthermore, think of the purpose. The yellow sign is intends to spread Hasturs influence secretly. The current one, while undoubtedly cool, is also strange and stands out. If you're wearing it on your person, it stands out. The S doesn't. I'm writing this on break and there's 3 in this room alone. No one cares.

Now take a moment to consider the vector. The best time to indoctrinate someone is young. Why fight to catch the random mad reader when you can net up whole classrooms in a single day and whole schools in a week? No one takes it seriously because it's a children's doodle. A thing we draw absent-minded as we remember our youth.

For all we know, we're all infected and didn't even know.

I've been playing with the terralyst lately and found out that a mediocre velocitus as a call down and on a necromech will take huge chunks off it's health. The necromech is even better because it isn't bothered by all the knock back and stagger.

As I don't have any of the meta frames for eidolon hunts, this has been a bit of a game changer for me and has me wondering how this would stack up with meta options. I've got a Lanka and it's nowhere near as effective even at double the fire rate.

Has anyone else played with this? I'd love to hear other stories on how the new deployables work with hunts.

Like, could you make a smaller version of a 1911 that fires 22lr instead of .45 by just scaling all the parts to the 22lr?

I have some old digital photos that I'd like to bring into modern resolutions, I know ai won't really be the same as doing it by hand but I doubt my grandma will notice. Is there a reliable site or way to use stable diffusion for this?

You can see a cluster of them to the bottom left and individuals spread around. We have them on raised beds near a maple tree in the yard because we were worried about the Kansas heat drying them faster then we could water. They get watered daily, they're not injured or weird looking, but they just aren't growing at all. What do we do?

Not pictured here is a Rosemary patch that's doing exactly the same, tiny little two leaf sprouts that refuse to grow further or die off.

Hey gang, I'm trying to find a mod or resource pack that well make the overworld and nether generate the same islands in the void that the end does.

I've seen sky-lands but I can't get it to work, it says it's too old for 1.21 and too new for 1.20.6. Does anyone have suggestions on how I can do this?

So we have a few of these things and I honestly fell like they're critically under utilized for what they are. You can see the mini figure display space, the stand and folding wings come out leaving a sizable storage area, and the lid also opens to enough storage for all the parts in each set. The top of the lid is an ordinary 8x8 flat round corner.

Obviously, these would be great travel cases for Lego D&D Minifigs, with your fig, main equipment, and what not with the back space used for other equipment or cosmetics. That said, I really want to find a game that uses the building aspect of Lego and can be stored in these containers.

The best I've come up with would be some variation of Goh that uses smooth tiles? Maybe some sort of chess game? Any ideas would be appreciated, I've been wracking my brain on this for weeks
