What’s to stop anyone today from having an open conversation with their partner about opening their relationship? In the examples above, no one is vilifying having an open relationship… it’s vilifying lying and dishonesty.

Even if we were to normalize infidelity, that doesn’t mean anyone should be beholden to accepting it in their relationship. Your argument is akin to saying “lying is widespread because it comes from human nature” so we should just normalize lying.

F that noise.

As much as I’m not a fan of Trump, based on that snopes article and the context around what he said… it’s pretty obvious that he accidentally said country instead of something like company. He followed up with remarks that made it obvious he knew that it was a toy company.

Playing the windows version on Linux doesn’t really support Microsoft. It’s not like on the consoles where they get a cut of the sales. Even playing directly on windows isn’t that terrible. I don’t remember the last time I purchased a copy of windows. I’ve been using the same key for like 15 years now

“Britain’s worst attack on children occurred in 1996, when 43-year-old Thomas Hamilton shot 16 kindergarten pupils and their teacher dead in a school gymnasium in Dunblane, Scotland. The U.K. subsequently banned the private ownership of almost all handguns.”

I’m a fan of slice of life type movies that showcase a point of time in someone’s life, a relationship, or culture.

Big fan of movies like About Elly, Twelve Angry Men, Ikiru.

I have the Criterion and Arrow video streaming services and like to pick random movies on there from time to time.

Any recommendations would be highly appreciated!

Congrats and well done! Take some time to celebrate! (And then max out your 401k if you’re in the US and you haven’t already)

As a former teacher, advisor to a state attorney general, and now an executive at Meta — I’ve dedicated my career to protecting children online.

That’s an awfully strange pathway to executive at Meta.

The voice actor for Leela (Katey Sagal) played Peggy Bundy in the tv show Married… with children, which was hugely popular in the 90s. The above picture was a very common scene from the tv show. Peggy with huge hair, sitting on the couch with her husband watching tv and eating junk food. So, it’s a fun reference to her previous work.

I am so confused by this. I understand that the police officer himself would not be liable… but does the city not have to carry insurance for this type of thing. Do cops drive under their own insurance when on duty?
