This is why I hate the FOSS community. Everyone freaks out and cries wolf the second a platform doesn't share their political opinion, even if it's completely irrelevant to privacy or FOSS.

The problem is that everything is so reliant on apps nowadays. Paying for parking? There are multiple apps for that. Want to make payments on the go? Gotta use the banking app. Want to buy a bus or a train ticket? Download the app. Appointment with a dentist or a doctor? Download our app that has 500 built in trackers! Here in Scandinavia It feels impossible to live without a smartphone and these stupid apps. At least make a web app so that I don't have to download spyware. I would love a linux phone, but if it isn't compatible with these apps I might as well just get a Google Pixel running GrapheneOS.

I find that hard to believe.

Its the only way to make anonymous payments (XMR) in a world where everything tracks and spies on you. And it's not only used to buy illegal stuff https://kycnot.me/ . I think of it like the TOR browser. Its great for people who are trying to escape an authoritarian government, but it can be used for bad things as well. But it should exist as I believe privacy is a human right.

adding the flag --bitrate 320k usually does it for me. I can't really tell the difference.
