That's actually a pretty fair point.

All of this is imo, but. My biggest issue with BB is that most of the characters lack any meaningful depth; they feel like caricatures rather than real people. The writers didn't have a long term plan for BB, and I feel like it shows in a lot of the storylines. I don't think Walt's character was consistent at all, which bugs me because he's the focal point of the story.

All of these things I think BCS addressed and improved on. And again, I don't even really dislike BB, I just think it feels like an off-brand sopranos. BCS, on the other hand, is the genuine article. I honestly think it's one of the best shows that's ever aired on regular cable. But I'm just some random dickhead on the internet, so who cares what I think lol.

I loved parks and rec, and I think that's a super fair way to feel about it. It has a very cheesy veneer hiding some really great comedy. I think 30 Rock had the same problem, and I get why a lot of people weren't into it. Or maybe the comedy just doesn't resonate with a some people, idk. I liked it, but I can see why other people wouldn't, even if I can't verbalize that.

Me with Breaking Bad. Just to get ahead of the insufferable BB fans, it's not a bad show, it's just no Wire or Sopranos. Better Call Saul, though? Oh baby, now we're talking.

Currently using Tortoise and SVN for the first time at my job, and I hate it.

To do what it takes to survive, to eat things that'd make a billy goat puke! Remember one thing when you go out there with John Rambo: a good supply of body bags!

I fucking love Crenna in Rambo

Great, time to watch some mystery science I guess

The movie is very loosely based on the first book. The screenwriter read it, had a dream about it, then wrote the movie based off the dream they had, intentionally never referencing the book while writing it. Which... Idk. Kinda fits the vibe of the story, but I'd love an authentic adaptation of the book, because it's incredible.

The second book was a hard read for me, but it's worth it to get to third, and honestly the third kind of retroactively makes the second one better. There's supposed to be a 4th in the works I believe, but don't quote me on that.

Reminds me of the biologist from Annihilation. Time to reread the trilogy I guess.

I've been listening to a lot of Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, Uncle Acid & the Deadbeats, and Graveyard, just kinda picking through licks here and there that I like. In particular I just sat and learned Surf's Up, and want to try my hand at Hymn for a Droid next.

Yeah, I kind of agree here. I'd love to switch to Linux as my every day driver, but some things keep me tied to windows. Gaming is getting better on Linux by the day, but I still can't use Ableton on Linux, and that's basically a deal breaker for me. I think the newest Push has Linux support though, so who knows? Maybe one day.

As a GA resident right across the river from SC, I understand that sentiment. SC sucks. Those bastards stole our city name and our fuckin baseball team.

I'm gonna be honest, this is shameless self-promotion, but getting traction on youtube and twitch is kinda hard. shrug.
