It seems like this only happens on the Internet. Lots of my IRL friends are vegan, vegetarian, or reduce their meat consumption. We all get along.

It's cool, but buying produce from your neighbors is also cool. Strong communities thrive together

The drug might suck. But I think continuing research on non opioid pain killers is probably a good thing.

A friend of mine has trouble with that. Women's shoes are usually the right length, but they are skinner than men's shoes

You should snowboard! I've got size 12 and I'm always getting toe and heel drag when I carve too deep. But you would never need to worry about that. Fucking super power.

Don't shaggy mane grow on manure substrate? They are probably coming up around dog poo or your leach field/septic tank. Delicious mushroom either way!

Every faction is the bad guys, it's individuals (or sub groups like the salamanders) within the fiction that get to rise above their faction and be good guys.

I always thought that it meant: just because someone has authority over one subject, doesn't mean they have it for another. Just because Einstein is good at math and physics doesn't mean his quotes about philosophy and religion hold any authority.

I'd probably say some shit like, "if you're really crazy, then how would you know?"

Why is it hard to find people that aren't shitty? I'm still recovering from learning Neil gaiman was an abuser

I've been reading "the dispossessed" by Ursula k le guin, and I'm becoming increasingly interested in anarchy. Where should I look for more information on it?

It seems that over the past couple months or so, I started having and engaging in more political discussions (on account of the presidential election). When you're in that space, it feels like you need to have an opinion on every little thing. Geopolitics, taxes, financial policy, etc. How important is it to educate myself and ask questions? Do you feel that pressure to have an opinion on everything?

edit: I don't think this question is about politics, but if it is, I can delete this.
