H-how does one even criticise something like that? Like, "you got this and that wrong about the world you made up"?

Wait, can copper be poisonous?

Doing research like this is really interesting, but also makes me think if I'm on a list now.

Low tech in this case would be similar to antiquity. I think I'll look into the amanita phalloides thing!

That'd require someone to actually read my stuff.

Never ever wash pepper spray with milk, that increases the risk of infection. Only water.

Greco-Roman and Norse mythology are represented a lot, but in a very shitty manner with barely any research, let alone respect.

I don't like where these comments are going.

I knew it. Come on.

Like takes at least a day or more for the poisoned character to notice.

There are. And from what I know, apparently the media avoids reporting about them.

Guys, at this rate I don't think the revolution's going to happen anytime soon.

Photo taken from far away so very low-quality pic.

I'd sincerely recommend everyone to read his manifesto and think about it a little bit.

So I'm on mobile Firefox (=no extensions) and wanted to download a few files, but the links led me to Boostellar, and besides the fact that I have better things go do than look at ads, it doesn't even work at all in the first place.

What can I do about this? (and no, I can't download any extensions, so don't bring those up)

What happened to pottery?! (lemmy.blahaj.zone)

So, my clumsy servant broke the amphora I've had for as long as I can remember. I went to the marketplace looking for a new one, but for some reason almost all the amphorae there were 'wheel thrown'.

What does that even mean?? Take a wheel off some poor farmer's ox-cart and throw at a clump of clay hoping you get a pot?

Are coiled pots suddenly not good enough for people anymore?!

This question randomly popped into my head some time ago. I haven't really found anything on Wikipedia relating to masochism outside of sex, but since sadism can be non-sexual, why could masochism be too?

I've been farting a lot for my entire life, but especially while sleeping. I usually sleep on my side, curled up, but sometimes on my back. I don't have any allergies or similar things that could be causing this as far as I know.

For example, last night was like this:

  • I lay down, I fart twice
  • I adjust my position, I fart again
  • I roll on my left side, I fart
  • I get up to fix my bed, I fart
  • I lay down again, I fart

This is rather unfortunate because I like sleep with my head under the blanket.

Edit: as for my eating habits, my diet has consisted mainly of granola with 2-4 per day and miscellanous fruit and vegetables for the last 4+ years.

I realised that for some reason, I still don't know this. Why do we have different skin colors, hair textures, eyes or such? Is it just a random thing that happened or are there evolutionary reasons to it?

I'm planning to make a baobab tree addon for Minecraft, and want to make the wood inside the trunk look somewhat like the real one. I tried to look it up using "baobab wood" and "baobab wood inside" but there were little to no pictures or descriptions of what the wood looks like.

I'm talking about the ones that stay in north during winter, not migratory birds. I've noticed that birds like sparrows or tits (yes yes i know funny name) look more rotund in fall, but is that actually fatness or just them fluffing up?
